Bookie Sam You should try reading:

The Covenant Series/ Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout
Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
Fire Spirit by Samantha Young

message 103: by Diana (new) - rated it 5 stars

Diana Brown I recommend Jessica Shirvington's Embrace series (in Australia its Violet Eden chapters).

Alexandra 1)Divergent by: Veronica Roth(Not necessarily like TMI or TID but it's a great book nonetheless.)
2)The Raven Boys by: Maggie Stiefvater (Again, not really all that similar, but still a great book.)
3)Shatter Me by: Tahereh Mafi*
4)Angelfall by: Susan Ee
5)The Darkest Minds by: Alexandra Bracken*
6)Daughter or Smoke and Bone by: Laini Taylor*

*= Definitely recommend these ones.

Hope you found this list helpful

Mykayla Brady The Morgenville Vampire series are long but are going to be amazing!!!!!!

message 107: by Bookie (new)

Bookie Sam I've read the Mortal Instruments. It's fantastic.

Here are some other books that I found epic.

- The Divinicus Nex Chronicles - A&E Kirk ( IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A FUN FILLED, HILARIOUS BOOK, LOOK NO FURTHER!!)

- The Lux Series / The Covenant Series - Jennifer L. Armentrout

- Fire Spirit - Samantha Young (She has other YA series too)

- Vampire Academy / Bloodlines - Richelle Mead

- Morganville Vampires - Rachel Caine (15 books / very awesome series!)

- Penryn & The End Of Days Series - Susan Ee

- The Altered Series - Jennifer Rush

- Delaney's Gift Series - Amber Garza

The next few aren't paranormal, but need to be seriously read!

- Crush Series - Lacey Weatherford (undercover cop meets high school girl)

- Reasons I Fell For The Funny Fat Friend / How To Series - Cassie Mae

- The Fault In Our Stars - John Green

I hope the list helps. Have fun reading.

Katrina Jay Not sure if anyone has mentioned this series or not, but I read them and they were about Gods & Goddesses but YA. I thought it was a pretty good series.

Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini Dreamless (Starcrossed, #2) by Josephine Angelini Goddess (Starcrossed, #3) by Josephine Angelini

Those that suggested the Lux series are right as well. It was a great series.

Bloodlines are those books any good?"

They are really good!! I have read them all but the last one....only because it isn't out yet. If you like VA you will really like these books!

message 110: by Rachel (new) - added it

Rachel E. Carter If you liked Jace you will probably love Warner in the Shatter Me series (don't judge him until you've read the second book), I also have a hot/arrogant character like him called Darren in my medieval fantasy The Black Mage: First Year. If you end up liking those two, I'd be happy to offer up more recs for hot/arrogant guy characters, those are always my favorite romances!

Courtney Vampire Academy is amazing, and Divergent is amazing too. I also recommend Obisdian. They are all amazing books.

Courtney Caity wrote: "Has anyone read wolves of mercy falls and paranormalcy?"

I've read Paranormalcy. It was amazing, and I was mad she didn't choose Ren.

Amy Thomson Sandra wrote: "Naadirah wrote: "i absolutely love cassandra clare's books. if u love jace i think youll love obsidian (lux series) by jennifer armentrout and i also loved vampire academy series by richelle mead. ..."
oh my god the lux series is just incredible, i read it probably about a year ago and i still think of daemon and katy

message 114: by Kimmie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kimmie Vrana If you liked the Hunger Games trilogy and the Divergent Trilogy, you will also like Marie Lu's Trilogy (Legend, Prodigy, Champion). They are dystopian, not supernatural.

message 115: by Mayci (new) - added it

Mayci Lee Christy wrote: "Is the Spin Off anygood I havent read those. What is the name Bloodrose or something like that.."

The Bloodlines Series after The Vampire Academy Series i think is better than the VA series... it's a spin off with Sydney Sage and it's my absolute favorite!

message 116: by Kimmie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kimmie Vrana Try the Shatter Me series. I loved it! Supernatural dystopian society. Read 1,2,3, then 1.5, 2.5...better that way. The novellas in between tell you too much about the two main guys...

message 117: by Talia (new)

Talia Christy wrote: "Oh ok yeah I loved Adrian alot better than Dimitri.

The Dark Artifices thats the new Cassandra Clare's book to come out in 2015.. Isn't it?"

March 8, 2016 actually

Mimi-loves-her-books! Some books that are similar to the mortal instruments are:
-Hush,hush
-The Chronicles of Nick
-The Dark Hunters Series
-Daughters of Smoke and Bone
- Night World

message 119: by Tui (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tui Waterman here are some suggestions of mine that are not exactly like TMI but are just as great
- hush, hush
-unearthly
-immortal
-divergent
-maximum ride
- the maze runner
-we were liars
-black ice
-the tomorrow series

black ice and we were liars aren't series but are fantastic books...

message 120: by Erin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Erin If you like "ordinary stumbling upon extraordinary" definitely check out the Twilight series, The Red Queen and the Hunger Games Trilogy. For the more distopian aspect go with the Divergent Trilogy and The Testing Trilogy.

message 121: by Emma (new)

Emma I really like the series by Quinn Loftis called Grey Wolves. I think it is phenomenal, she is such a witty writer, and it is a great romance and supernatural adventure series. It had me hooked for so long!

message 122: by Tasha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tasha Spratling You should definitely try blood red road.

message 123: by Shayla (new) - added it

Shayla Rae Jordan wrote: "omg I can't believe they are brother and sister.... anyone who is just as shocked and as mad as me reply. They were soooooo cute together!"

You need to read them all the way through cause this is false information

message 124: by Ashley (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ashley Hermawan read the Ruby Red trilogy! its is simillar to TMI as it all started with a girl not knowing about a world her parents ere hiding, she gets into that world, adventure, blablabla, finds love, blablabla. then it is also simillar to TID as it is a time travel story and some scenes take place in the victorian era.

message 125: by Ashley (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ashley Hermawan Jordan wrote: "omg I can't believe they are brother and sister.... anyone who is just as shocked and as mad as me reply. They were soooooo cute together!"

hmmm... are they really? *evil laughs* (keep reading sweety)

message 126: by Erin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Erin If you like the character development aspect of TMI and TID, you should really pick up the Shatter Me trilogy, by Tahereh Mafi. The book is about a girl with a lethal touch. Similarly to TMI and TID, she is thrown into a world that has been kept from her for a long time.

Also, Cassandra Clare just released the first installment in the Dark Artifices, her new Shadowhunter Chronicles collection.

message 127: by Anna (new) - rated it 5 stars
