The scar tissue on my hands is probably down to a lifetime of proving that cold steel beats stupidity every time ;-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments No. That'd be the scar tissue on your tongue.

Never lick cold steel, Jim.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Mmmmmmmmm, cake!!

Read on little one and stop wasting your time on the web ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'll read another couple of chapters when I get into bed. I'm savouring it.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ok, I finished it last night. Excellent stuff, but a bit of a sobering ending. I wasn't able to sleep until about 4am.

message 1877: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3397 comments Dash it, Webster! You're driving my one and only fan into a zombie-like state of sleep deprivation. Cease and desist, sir!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I thought you had found another one.

So that's what they look like! I always wondered. How do they hold a Kindle?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments a complicated system of clips and hooks I suppose.

Very likely. I tend to think of the distaff side in the same vein ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Things are simpler these days. Even velcro can be used.

Glad you enjoyed it :-)
Could I say that the ending is what it is because people are what they are?
Obviously I don't want to give out spoilers, but it's one of the things that would make a fascinating discussion at a book club :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well yes, the ending certainly made sense, and it was very well done, just it wasn't the kind of stuff I needed in my head when trying to sleep.

Blimey I have to hurry up with all the other stuff I'm supposed to be doing, just itching to get to this.

Cheers

Jim | 21813 comments Well I've sent MTM a piece for the Gumbee blog. It might explain to Gingerlily what was happening, without being a spoiler for everyone else :-)

Jim | 21813 comments Feeling a bit surprised.
I did a blog for Chris, the Story telling Ape, as part of my blog tour.

He just emailed me to tell me "Your article has also been approved to appear in IWS :)"
