I think I'm ready to get back into it after my two month absence. Tough call on which to choose. Some of the best times of my life have been spend along a cool stream. Slippery Rock Creek in western PA is one of my old haunts. Great trout stream. Big enough to swim. Plenty of spots to find seclusion... So freshwater has it's draw to be sure.
The ocean has a sense of mystery. Fishing in the ocean is so exciting because you never know what is going to come up. Crabbing on the Outer Banks or trolling for marlin off the coast of Belize, it's all the same body of water. It is a big wow to be out in the middle of nowhere and have whales surfacing around you. Or when dolphins play in the bow wake. Or the feeling of having your sea legs and rolling with the movement of the boat. What about being out on the ocean at night where you can't see anything but the stars. Truly amazing.
But for now, I have less than a month before I head to Mexico for a week with my wife. All we've been talking about is the private hot tub with built in room service call button. I've been told one whole day of our vacation will be spent right there. (sure I know it's bromine and not chlorine, but go with me on this one) So the one that sounds the best to be right now is chlorinated.
I seem to have missed sign ups every month this year, finally remembered, woot! Fresh water for me :)

I haven't done this challenge for awhile! I'm in and Chlorinated Water for sure:-) not a lot can live in chlorine, plus I can see the bottom;-)
Dee, I have a book to send back to you. I just need to find a post office...So I'll punish someone else this month with a lack of a TBR.
I'm not getting the notifications for this thread:-( I had better set a reminder on the phone so I don't miss the important dates!
Looks like I'll be out of town next week :( I'm going to skip this month's PIFM. MK, Could you remove my name from the sign-up list, please?
oh my goodness, I have taken a few months off reading to work and now that I have some time off, I want to read again. Been so long ..... ready to jump back in though. Put me down for fresh water - just because :)
Salt water....cute cabana boys bringing me my frozen pina colada...yummy the drink not the boy (wink, wink)

Suzanne wrote: "I seem to have missed sign ups every month this year, finally remembered, woot! Fresh water for me :)"Suzanne, there are two Suzanne's this month so I am adding your last initial in my list. I hope I can keep track of which is which that way. If I miss something for either of you, please let me know!
Lisa wrote: "I am a total newbie.I have a couple questions about this challenge. Do I ask them here?"Absolutely! There are lots of wonderful people here to help you! And I should be around most of the weekend too.
Joyce wrote: "I love the beach and living on Long Island it would have to be salt water."Joyce,
I live on Long Island too. You would think I would choose salt water also, lol. But I still spent much more time in pools than in the ocean. My ankles are really all that got wet in the ocean.
If it is not too late I would love to join in this month. And I would have to say salt water. I love to sit out by the water and listen to waves. So very relaxing.

The anticipation has begun to build. What will I be reading this month? What will the categories be? Will I have trouble finding a book the other person will like? Oh boy!
just remember, whoever gets Jim has to give him lots of historicals to pick from because he *loves them sooo much* ;)

Hehe, glad to have you back Jim! You know you will get some good smut from me if I get you (and not historical smut ;)
