Got hooked on this series on my trip home. I watched the whole series on HBO in one day and decided to check out the books.

4. Middlesex
529 pages
I'd been meaning to read this for so long and it was nothing like I expected. I thought it would focus more on Cal(liope) and less on the history of the family.

5. American Gods
588 pages
I've been eating up all the Neili Gaiman I can get my hands on for the past few months. I haven't been able to get these characters out of my head for weeks now.

7. The Book Thief
550 pages
I am not jumping on the amazingness bandwagon for this book. It was good, but I don't think it lived up to the hype.

I find it strange that I hate Stephanie Klein and not Jen Lancaster. They have similarly annoying writing styles, but I guess I let Jen slide because she? Is hiLARious.

284 pages
I loved loved loved her first memoir, Wasted. Madness just left me feeling a little crazy - which would have been okay (it happens when I read books like this) but I finished it during my lunch break and had to go back to work for two hours.

13. Just Listen

Oh Wally Lamb. You throw so much crazy history and different stories into your novels and make me swear to never read you again. This was no 'I Know This Much is True', but I'll let it slide.
Just Listen was cute and this boy is probably my new literary crush.

353 pages
I read half this book and then set it down for eight months. Not Murakami's finest, but whatever. I was able to pick it up easily and finish the story with no problem.

And then I became slightly obsessed with Jen Lancaster because I can't keep re-reading Laurie Notaro.

Had to read it before the movie comes out. After an almost fight with Amazon I was able to pick this book up and not set it down for three hours until I was finished (there was also a Heroes marathon going on).
