Write a Paragraph
oh yeah! Like in my creative writing class, we have a certain genre, and then we have to write a 50 word snapshot that go with that genre. So basically a paragraph.
She looks left, she looks right, but she cannot see. Only in her dreams and memories can she see. Those are the only times when her eyes work. The rest of the time, she is as if a donkey trapped in the darkness for months on end, suddenly brought out in the light only to find that nothing is visible.

I was thinking that people wouldn't post from things previously written... but mostly because they are random parts that remind them of an awesome part in the story and you wouldn't understand out of context, and they get too long. But that was a pretty good paragraph so I won't complain. ;)

it sounds like a forbidden romance! XD
I inhale deeply, taking in every bit of the extraordinary smell as I can. I have not smelled this smell in years, and the air tickles at my nose and tastebuds, teasing me with a deliciousness that I haven't experienced in years.
The swirling white mist surrounding me clears, and I can see a figure coming towards me. He looks to be far away, but then not; my eyes are messing up in the cool night hours. As he crosses the last stretch I wait, my breathing slowing. He stops in front of me, eyes sparkling. Our hands meet.

No, no, instead she stays and says I like you as you are.
^_^

"Where you going, beautiful?" he asked, the words slurred.
"Oh, nowhere!" I replied. Then I kicked him in the fork of the legs, hit him over the head with my purse, and ran off. I hate New York.

it's not that she was really crazy, mind you. crazy was all an act. she had complete control over her frequent lapses in consistent personality now. sure, she slipped a few times, and had fequently gotten the look that said it all: maybe she's crazy after all.
it was hilarious watching the expressions on the faces ofrandom strangers when they realized this.

I really like that! Can i use it too?

Okay first of all, do you cut?
And second of all, do you know how friggin' hard it is to intentionally paper cut yourself?

You might be interested in reading a story I'm writing...I hesitate to say that, but you're welcome to check it out. The link is in my writing folder.

....
"Your wish is granted."

I looked out the window, and saw a shape coming up through the woods, toward my driveway. Who could that be? Who ever visited me anymore? I watched as the figure got out of the red truck. I knew that shape. Wait. NO! It couldn't be. Couldn't be. Impossible. But it was.
Shane climbed out of his truck and started up the drive.
And my heart fell out of my chest and shattered against the floor.

Now, take that paragraph, and put it somewhere else, maybe in a notebook or in a file on your computer, and add on to it, or keep it for inspiration. I have found that just writing a paragraph can be extraordinarly helpful when you are entirely stuck.
