“Aunt Kate?” I said, sleepily.
“Alyx.” Her voice was a fierce whisper. “Listen to me. You have to be quiet.”
By then, I was starting to get out of bed, my heart pounding. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. Come with me.”
She took my hand, pulling me away from my bedroom. I blinked in the light of the hallway, stumbling blindly forward after my aunt. She came to an abrupt stop at the closet, yanking it open. She was moving quickly and frantically as she fumbled through the various coats, until she found mine and pulled it out.
As she was buttoning my coat on, I asked her again, “What’s wrong?”
“I told you, nothing’s wrong.”
“Where are we going?”
“We’re just going to my house.”
She patted me on the head, offering a forced, comforting smile.
“Is Mommy okay?” I asked, my fear starting to sink in.
Kate’s eyes darkened. “She’s fine. She’s still sleeping.”
“Can -- Can’t I say goodbye to her?”
My aunt bit her lip sympathetically. “No, Alyx. I’m sorry. But we have to get you out of here.”
“Why?”
Kate sighed, looking away. She looked nervous, like she wanted to jump up and run away. But she still had the patience to answer, in the same panicked whisper. “Listen, Alyx. I know this seems scary. But I’m not going to lie to you; I would never lie to you.” She paused. “Alyx, you’re in danger here. Your mother is going to put people in danger, and I don’t want you to be one of those people, okay?”
My chin trembled, and I felt tears rise into my eyes. “What are you talking about?” I demanded. “Kate ... Kate, I’m scared.”
“I know. I know you are, sweetheart. But you can trust me, all right? Everything’s going to be okay. It will all make sense someday.”
And that was the only explanation she would provide, before she stood up, taking me by the hand. With that, we left my home, which I would never see again.

LOVED THAT PART!!! soo awesome XD

Not even waiting for me to ask what was going on, Sylfaen locked her arms around me and pulled me onto my bed.
Um...okay. This was a little weird. No, weird was an understatement.
She threw herself on top of me, then planted her lips on mine. Get ready, I warned myself as we began kissing. I wondered how many minutes I should wait until I pulled out my sword. Would five be enough to get her well distracted? Maybe ten?
Suddenly Sylfaen started acting in an abrupt, unexpected way. Her mouth still moving with mine, she ripped off my jacket in one smooth movement. I stiffened with confusion and surprise as her hands began to unbutton my shirt, moving down the line of buttons, her body squirming on top of me. She almost tore my shirt open with the force her hands possessed.
Uh...Excuse me? What did she think she was doing?
Her lips detached from my mouth, and they started climbing down my body vertically- my chin, my neck, my collarbone...and then, when her lips parted from my skin for a moment, and she turned to the side, I saw it happen. Just barely, out of the corner of my eyes- but I saw it.
A swift, quick movement through her lips, with her teeth. Something long and sharp coming out of her mouth.
Fangs.

With what?
Edit: Oh! I just looked up and realized that you posted something before I posted my paragraph. I'm so sorry, I didn't see it! We must have posted at the same time. =D And I'm not ignoring you, I saw the paragraph you posted before and liked it!

((I'm bored! Marley, no one will ignore you!! DON'T GIVE UP!!))

ROFL!! haha omg that part ... *awkward turtle* XD hehe

I felt it when he pressed the gun harder against my skull. I was a second away from having the contents of my head displayed all over the side of this building, and winced at the thought.
No. I couldn’t lose it now. I had to keep up this act.
“Why aren’t you stopping me?” Fox demanded; I detected the anxious note in his voice.
Dear God, I prayed, I really would like to keep my brain. And by that, I mean I would like to keep it safe inside my head.
I sighed. “Why?” I repeated. “Well, probably because that’s what you want me to do. You expected me to fight back, didn’t you?”
“Well, yeah. I mean, I’m about to shoot you in the head. I thought maybe that would bother you a little.”
“It’s a little unnerving, yes.”
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Fox exploded.
“I could ask the same of you,” I pointed out. “I really don’t get it. It’s like you’re asking me to kill you.”
“I’ve seen what you can do,” Fox growled. “I know that if you wanted to, you could probably turn around and kill me with your bare hands, and I wouldn’t even have time to know what was happening.”
“But I don’t want to do that.”
There was a long, uncomfortable silence. Then Fox laughed humorlessly, and I felt the pressure of the gun finally ease away from my head. My hands were suddenly free. Casually, I backed away from the wall and turned around.
Even through the dark shadows, I could see Fox’s eyes glinting at me bitterly. “Fine,” he hissed. “You win. Are you happy?”
“Oh yeah. Nothing fills me with more joy than being held at gunpoint.”
“Was that supposed to be funny?”
“I’m not laughing.”

That's weird. I haven't read a lot of your writing, so I don't know why he didn't shoot. It's still cool though :)

lol!!!!! >< still, despite the disney corniness, i agree with that completely. writing isn't a contest!! :D

I caught up to her as she shuffled down the sidewalk. “You still haven't told me your name.”
“Correct, O Smart One.” She glanced at me out of the corner of her eye, then looked at her feet. Unexpectedly, she didn't speed up or leave in the other direction. We were walking side by side, our shoulders occasionally brushing. Something tingled on my skin whenever that happened.
“Are you going to tell me your name?”
“No.”
“Why?”
“I don't give annoying people that I don't like the luxury of knowing who I am.”
“Fine. Then I'm not telling you mine.”
“Thank god.”
I stopped walking and crossed my arms over my chest. “Rude much?”
She turned to face me. “All the time.” It looked like she was trying not to smile.
Just then, the sharp tones of Linkin Park's latest song swirled around both our ears. A sheepish look came over her face, and she reached inside her pocket and pulled out her flashing phone.
“You like Linkin Park?” I was glad to have finally found out one thing about her. And something we had in common, too.
“No, I don't. I hate them and I chose to put them as my ringtone to torture myself,” she said sarcastically.
“They're my favorite too.”
“Crap. I better choose a different ringtone, then.” She flipped open the phone and put it to her ear. “Hello?”
“Where are you?” She had one of those phones where you could hear the person on the other line clearly, without being close. It was another girl that was calling my companion.
“Um, I'm outside...” MHG frowned at me, clearly not wanting to say that she was with some loser who wouldn't leave her alone.
“I'm bored,” the voice on the other end said. “Let's leave, Jade.”
I smirked. MHG- now Jade- scowled at me.

I've been reading so many different stories that I can't remember what goes with what.

omg!! luvvvv it XD so funny

The guy probably never knew what hit him. But for the record, it was me.
I pressed my hands against the ground, shifting my weight forward. Then I pushed myself up and swung my legs around in a full circle, knocking the Enemy off balance. He fell, face forward, onto the ground. He didn’t even have time to put out his hands to stop the fall; I heard it when his nose crunched against the cement.
At the moment, I didn’t even feel the slightest twinge of regret. I was already leaping to my feet, and lunging towards the fallen Enemy. By the time he had managed to get up onto his knees, I was already standing in front of him.
My mind was still running on blind anger, making me jerk my knee upward, striking him right under the jaw. His head snapped back and then he fell, dropping his weapon.
As my fury started to flicker away, I picked up the gun. I thought, for a split second, about shooting the guy. I decided against it, right away. I saw him lying there, as if he were already dead, with blood gushing from his broken nose, and I thought I had done enough to him. He would wake up with a really bad headache later, but I would spare him. My job here was done.
I released a short sigh, turning around. I froze when I saw that the others had turned around and were all staring at me. I looked around at them self-consciously. “What?” I murmured.
Kismet was the first to speak. “Whoa,” she said breathlessly. “Man, you are a beast.”

lol thanks :D

that part was sooo amazingly cool :D

I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, gripping the edge of the sink with my hands. I traced a purple shadow under my eye lightly with my pinky and sighed. God, I looked like I was on some drug. I ran a hand over my face and sighed again; today was not my day. I shoved my hand into my pocket and my fingers curled around a cold piece of metal and I flinched slightly. Should I do it again? I could face severe consequences if I-heck, I don’t care. I have nothing to live for, except my little sister Lauren. My dad hates me and I was dumped by the girl of my dreams. I pulled my hand out of my pocket and saw my new, wicked best friend; a razor. I placed it on the sink and flinched again as the sound of metal against the ceramic sink pounded in my ears as if it were 100 times louder than it actually was.
I gently unwrapped the bandages around my knuckles and gasped quietly at the sight. I didn’t think it was that bad . . .
I traced a finger lightly over them, then picked up the razor. I bit my lip, waiting for the excruciating pain as I slid the blade over my knuckles. I drew in a sharp breath through my teeth; there it was. The warm blood trickled down my fingers and splashed onto the sink, leaving ghastly red stains. It hurt a lot, but I kept going at it.
When I was unable to take anymore of the pain, I dropped the razor. My hands felt numb and they were shaking slightly. My lip had been bitten through and was now bleeding also. I breathed heavily, trying to recover from it.
Then there was a light knock on the door and I held my breath.

Charlotte faced the Founding Five. All of them had their hoods pulled over their eyes, except for two. Leandros-with his slicked back jet-black hair and paper white skin-and Dugald-with his dark blue eyes and orange-red hair that contrasted with his dark skin. Their faces were lit eerily from the fire below them, Dugald looking tenser than Leandros. Leandros’ lip curled up into a smile, yet Charlotte didn’t know if it was menacing or friendly.
“Dugald here thought you would never come.” Leandros said cheerfully. Dugald shot him a look out of the corner of his eye, but remained silent. Leandros spread his arms out to Charlotte.
“So, are you ready?” he asked. Charlotte nodded slowly. Leandros looked at the hooded figure with a white falcon embroidered on the back of his cloak.
“Chain her wrists, Haytham.” He hissed quietly. Charlotte’s eyes widened.
“I can step into the fire on my own.” She said quickly. Leandros turned to her and smiled.
“I’m sure you will…but this isn’t to make sure you step into the fire, my dear.” He said gently.

This isn't really something from a story...I wrote the back teaser for the third book of the hunted trilogy (which I haven't even started yet, just have the idea for.) I don't even know what the title of the third book is going to be. But, I've started to consider calling the whole hunted trilogy the "vampire hunter" trilogy. Tell me what you think. Anyways, here's the teaser:
The raging war between vampires and Vampire Hunters was far from over when Hunted, the first novel of the Vampire Hunter trilogy, ended. In fact, the worst of it is just beginning now.
Tension between the two races mounts as the thirst for blood and revenge dominates both sides. The carefully organized Vampire Hunter system has been tossed aside, to be replaced by chaotic rampages and battles. Every day, many numbers from each are lost. Even the regular humans are noticing the astonishing death rate.
It's a wonder the world isn't collapsing under all the fighting that is shaking the earth to its very core.
But the war between vampires and Vampire Hunters isn't the only problem. There are new threats starting to arise. An enraged vampress comes back from the dead and seeks for vengeance to her killers, not realizing or caring how much destruction and disaster she's leaving behind on her way to complete her mission.
And there is another, third organization, set out to rid the world of anything deemed “dirty”: an organization more clever and dangerous than both vampires and Vampire Hunters put together. With them at work, it's impossible for the world to stay upright much longer.
As the hatred and confusion blazes, the questions remain: Who will win? And what will be the cost of either side's victory?
Nothing will ever be the same again after this third and final installment of the Vampire Hunter trilogy determines the end.
