It's time to nominate some books for June's group reads!
If you haven't done this before, our rules can be found here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/2... If you have questions, please ask.

Our theme for June is Middle Grade/Juvenile! You may nominate 2 Young Adult books, one that is themed, and one that is not. Please label your books as themed and non-themed. Nominations will run for about a week.

These books are geared for ages 7-12. They typically have short chapters and may have pictures. They are meant to be read by the child not to the child.

There's definitely some gray area here as to what is J/MG and what is YA, we'll try to be lenient.

Don't forget to check the group's bookshelf for books we've already read. http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...

Please include authors' names when nominating. Authors may not nominate their own books!

Thanks!

Sorry Jennifer. :) Hopefully it will get enough votes to be the June pick; although Mrs. Frisby looks fun too!

Any more nominations? I'll put the polls up on Monday.

Renee (elenarenee) | 82 comments I have been trying to remember a series of books for this age that I loved as a girl. It featuered a kindly lady who helped kids in an offbeat way. For example a boy who wouldn't wash had seeds planted on him that turned into turips. I really wanted to nominate one of those but I cannot remember the title help Please

Hope this is okay. They are Mrs Perwinkle or something like it.

I know I read Bridge to Terabithia when I was younger, and I remember it having an impact, but honestly, it's been so long! I have a feeling it will be like reading it again for the first time.

Finnikin looks exciting too! I imagine it will be a nice complement to the book I'm reading for my other book club: Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay.

I just hope I can keep up with it all!
