Just to get the party started (without mentioning any actual fantasy books), I finished House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds, which was amazing, and started The Dark Ocean, one of Jack Vance's mystery novels. (I haven't read any of his non-fantasy/SF before, but now that they're available electronically, I thought I'd give it a go.)

I'm currently reading The Well of Ascension, which I'm really enjoying, The Eyre Affair, which I just started, and I plan to start Firehearted and Rosemary and Rue. I've got a few mystery/thrillers in the Kindle waiting for me as well.
I am currently finishing Memories of Ice... but looking forward to other books in the series as well :)
About 10% into The Well of Ascension, really enjoying this series so far. Hope to get this one finished as well as The Hero of Ages by the end of the month, but with basketball playoffs kicking up, just can't keep the nightly reading going. Ah well, basketball won't last forever.
currently reading at work Tamuli by David Eddings; at home I'm reading Dave Duncan's Against the Light on my Kindle and Judith Tarr's The Hound and the Falcon in trade paperback. This is my fourth time for that one.

maybe thats why I sometimes catch many things others dont - cos I read only ONE book at a time... I cant imagine reading three at a time... :)
@Razmatus haha yeah I probably do miss some things. But even though I'm reading more than one book, I usually spend 70% of my time on one particular book and then spread the rest of my time evenly among the rest.
I'm going to finish Game of Thrones (soon, very soon!) and then move on to something a little less... what're the words... daunting & emotionally draining ;PI need to read my paperback books at the beginning of the month so it'll either be a Jo Nesbo or my
reread. This means there'll be at least one paperback out of the way and my eReader will be coming to Croatia with me at the end of this month :)
I'm currently reading The Eye of Eternity by Maggie Furey. I'm about half way through it, not sure what I'm going to read next.
Finished Jack Vance's mystery novel The Dark Ocean and am returning to the fantasy fold with Sword of Fire and Sea by Erin Hoffman.
I finished Blackveil yesterday. I enjoyed it, and yet I felt it had an excessive amount of relationship drama. Now I'm in the same position of everyone else of waiting several years before the next book comes out.I just started the sci-fi Replay by Ken Grimwood now. I've heard good things about it.
I'm also nearly 200 pages into A Clash of Kings
Nine Princes in Amber has been so highly recommended by multiple people in this group that I thought I would read it while waiting for Furies of Calderon to come in at the library. Unfortunately, no library in the whole county has Nine Princes, so I had to request it through InterLibrary Loan and what I got was the omnibus--all 10 books, nearly 1300 very thin pages! Sure hope I like Zelazny! :)

Unfortunately, n..."1300 very thin but fast-paced pages. (And it's actually two separate 5-book cycles. If you felt compelled to stop after the first 5, I wouldn't hold it against you.)
Still reading Midnight Tides haven't made any progress really. Should probably do something about that...And I'm halfway through Furies of Calderon which I really like so far.

Jean wrote: "currently reading Midnight Tides by Steven Erikson. As usual, I'm not sure what's up yet."Lol! That's par for the course with the Malazan series. I'm currently on Reaper's Gale which I hope to finish this weekend. I'm also reading an indie work called At an uncertain hour by Nyki Blatchley. Very good so far.

Reaper's Gale is the longest book in the series, is it not? Or is it Toll the Hounds?
I'm still working on books from last month (and even February- eek!) but new books I've started this month are Coraline on audio and Gil's All Fright Diner on Kindle. I absolutely love listening to Neil Gaiman narrate.
Currently reading an Erikson as well, Memories of Ice. Only 180 pages in, and as always, I have no idea what they are all up to. But I have learned that everything will some together at some point, so I am just looking forward to the resolution. I especially love the way important things get mentioned casually in a conversation, making me read over it, pause for a second, then go "wait WHAT?", read it again, and then "Aaaahhh!" (Spoiler-free I can only say: Origin of the Imperial Warren).
So yeah, liking the book and looking forward to the last 200 pages that are, from my experience, the best in eriksons books.

Whoaaa that's ALOT of books for 1 month, alot of heavy books! I recently mastered the art of reading 2 books at once. However, 3 at once seems impossible
I already finished You Against Me. Planning to continue the Aisling Grey series and to start a new fantasy. Not sure wether to start EON or The Mistborn Trilogy
I've done the Mistborn trilogy - very good. Now I'm on Alloy of Law, good but in some ways completely different to the rest of Mistborn. Not sure what's next.
I just got the newly released Wondla book, A Hero for Wondla. It is the second one in the series. My niece and I have been waiting for it to come out. Her birthday is May 21st, so I got a copy for her, as well as my old Nook. My husband gave me the Nook Tablet. I love it! My neice will be up here on the Cape, from Orlando, FL, for her brother's graduation from Boston University.
I'm really struggling to read at the moment, which is hard on a life-long reader. I'm averaging about 4 books a month this year, where for most of my life it's been about 10.For May, I've finished The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen (so-so) and The Broken Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin (absolutely blew me away).
Right now I'm halfway through The Outcast by Louise Cooper, which is a reread of a favourite from the '80s.
I was thinking of re-reading those Louise Cooper books, how are they bearing up? I'm reading Dragon Stones, can't remember why I bought it but I certainly don't like the cover. The story is very entertaining though.

And I really liked at least the first five or six books in the Indigo series, although I had some problems with the ending.
I finished The Outcast and read Catherine Asaro's new Soz story in The Mammoth Book of SF Wars today. Now I'm about to start N. K. Jemisin's The Kingdom of Gods. I loved the previous book, so I'm hoping I'll like this one just as much.
I read the original trilogy and then the 8 Indigo books. I remember the wolf and being really annoyed at the ending. Can't remember the details. I have fond memories of the trilogy but remember nothing!
I plan on reading Jemison this summer.
I plan on reading Jemison this summer.
Finished Lance of Earth and Sky (which was quite good) and for something completely different started The House on the Borderland and Other Mysterious Places by William Hope Hodgson.
Jenny wrote: "I'm reading Theft of Swords on my Kindle and I'm enjoying it very much."I'm so pleased to hear that Jenny - the series was a lot of fun to write and my whole goal on these books was to entertain - so I'm so glad that you are enjoying the read.
I finished Hounded by Kevin Hearne and really enjoyed it...was very "Dresden like" I'm back to finishing up Chronicles of The Black Company which took me a while to get into but am enjoying it more now. I'm still not a huge fan of gritty and dark but I think the characters were unique and interesting.
This month I have read:1634: The Galileo Affair by Eric Flint,
Furies of Calderon,
Working on:
Bearers of the Black Staff - Terry Brooks.
I am finishing Feast of Crows, then onto Dance of Dragons by George Martian. I am also beginning Eye of Time by Michael Jorden. Anyone out there that read Jorden's Wheel of times books?
Dana wrote: "I am finishing Feast of Crows, then onto Dance of Dragons by George Martian. I am also beginning Eye of Time by Michael Jorden. Anyone out there that read Jorden's Wheel of times books?"I intend to sometime :)
and well, I didnt know George R.R. Martin was a Martian, interesting point to make (no offense, I know it was a typo, but a funny one ;P), maybe thats why he writes his books so slowly, hehe :)
AFFC and ADWD are great though :P
I'm reading The Sword-Edged Blonde. I haven't read enough to have an opinion yet, but it sure is different.
Just finished reading Blood Song. Looking for a good book to start this evening, possibly Theft of Swords or maybe The Warded Man?
I just finished reading A Clash of Kings and am now 300 pages into A Storm of Swords. These books are great! Not sure if it was the book that ruined it for me or what, but I definitely liked season 1 of the TV show Game of Thrones better than season 2. I didn't read the first book, but the second book made season 2 of the show look pretty weak.
Just finished reading Gears of Wonderland. Now I can't decide what to start with next: Neverwhere or The Way of Kings any suggestions?
Tara, Neverwhere is closer to what you just read than The Way of Kings is, so it really depends on whether or not you are looking for a change of pace.
All done with The House on the Borderland and Other Mysterious Places by William Hope Hodgson and just started The Sword & Sorcery Anthology, which should be much more purely entertaining.
