Goodread listopia

http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/36...
This book is on two other listopias which I do think are legit.
It's narrow, but the list appears to be open to other books along the theme. Feel free to add some.

are series not a list
and this one is a list for a school library http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/36... (not sure if that is permitted)
This one seems suspicious as well http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/36...
This one I'm not sure if it breaks rules but seems to just exists to insult the authors and readers http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/36...
Sorry this post is so long, I was looking for a list and came across quite a few of them, I just edited the post rather than making several
Got 63. (That library one is pushing the limits, but we allow lists for groups, so . . .)
The last one is not violating any rules.
The last one is not violating any rules.

What about Jennifer Lafferty who seems to add her book to every romance list?
An author adding their book to many lists is not a violation of any Goodreads policies, unless it clearly does not fit the list's description. (It's probably a good way to irritate far more users than it will get the book positive notice by, but that's a different story.)
Lists can have only one book on them, as long as they are clearly open to votes for other books from other authors.

I have seen lists that are blatant advertisements that share the books title and use the books description for the information, which is not an appropriate list.
If an author creates "Books with Fairies" and "Books set in Another World" and adds their book that fits appropriately on that list, it is acceptable.
You can always post a questionable list here for a second opinion.

I'm not deleting 76, don't want to mess anything.
P.S. Is it possible the voter is a socket puppet? He had added and voted for only one book on GR.

What distinguishes listopias with delete buttons from those without??
(My post was intended for staff or a super.)

I don't see whats so wrong about it.u can add other books about 'picture book series about a dog'. and as a librarian u can change/delete the description of the list.

That's been the status quo for quite a while. I only use it to delete empty, obvious duplicate lists (when you accidentally make two when setting a list up).

There are a number of comments that make it clear things should not be on there. I am heading out the door to vacation land.

This is not one of my genres, maybe someone who knows the terminology should handle it.

These two should be merged, I think.

Someone has spammed the list with a book that shouldn't be there.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...
Can someone remove it from the list, please? Thanks.
Adding a book to many lists, as long as it fits all of them, is not spamming. (Since most of those looked like opinion lists, it arguably does.) And linking to a user's list of votes is not allowed anymore than linking to their profile, so I deleted the post.

Just randomly going through YA lists I noticed that book was atop this list
http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/39...
where Buzzfeed's list of 14 books can easily be checked. The "spammy" book was #1 on the Listopia, but nowhere on the Buzzfeed list. I am deleting the spammy book now. The spammy book had 13 votes, all 13 voters voted it 1 of 1, none of the 13 voters has a friend, and the 13 voters had shelved between 4 and 17 books. These are called sockpuppets!

Those blow up "houses" that kids jump around in. Moon bounce is another term for them. Used to just be a carnival thing, but around here there are places that have them year round. They cater children's birthday parties.
No idea how that connects to the listed books, though.
