It's just an experiment with personification.

It's just an experiment with personification."
english not being my first language this is very confusing to me

You can't say that anything is not true. I believe that anything is possible, but we just don't have the knowledge to access all that is possible.

Okay! I think it's probably time to end this discussion. I think Colby summed it up nicely. Nikolas you are entitled to your beliefs of course, but Sevania has creative license so ... she can do what she wants.

i think the story is fine i was just confused at first. my opinion on the other thing was to sevania not the story.

It makes me laugh that so many people loved "My Own Shade of Normal," because that was the first performance poem I wrote. I was hesitant to perform it because I thought it would fall flat. :D

Not weirded out at all. I'm really appreciative, actually. I'm relatively new to the poetry scene -- my buddies have been doing it for years, and they have so much more to write about because their lives are tough. But to hear that my poetry is touching other people really makes me happy. I want people to find themselves in my poetry, and I do the best I can to convey that.
I'm performing again next month for a function at school. I'll put up videos from that. But the guy who is in charge of this all might be backing out for awhile, so my public poetry work might stop for some time.
If you really want this to continue, buy our book. For realz. If he sells all the copies, he won't lose any money. If you support SFYS, we'll be able to continue rocking your world with our poetry. :)

i really wanna do this. even though i'm kinda broke. but yeah. i shall do it. 'cause this is super awesomee.
dude where do you perform this stuff?
My music teacher is starting a slam poetry team at my school. He's pretty amazing.
He showed us this last night. He preformed at The Blue Room, this jazz club in Kansas City.

It's so worth the money. There are something like a hundred poems thrown in there -- some slam, some not. All good.
I started performing at my school, and then the dude who put it all together graduated and started doing some open mics and slams at a little café about a half-hour away. It's a really sweet gig. We get total strangers who come in and just fall in love with our work.
@Lav
I love this poem. Very very powerful. The more…political pieces are excellent and have a special place in my heart. I myself want to write about some of those harder issues, but those pieces are far from performable.

i'm guessing you were talking to me, not sev, unless she deleted her comment or something (?).
lav i can't view videos right now but when i can i'm totally going to see your teacher's! so cool!
i am so jealous. would i have one of these near me too? where do you guys live? (how cool would it be if i lived really close to you guys?:D)

Whoops! Autocorrected to the wrong name. I was talking to you.
I dunno…what state do you live in? There's usually an underground poetry community at least somewhere. Might take a bit of driving (the next-nearest big venue I know of is 2 hours away), but you can usually find poets wherever.
