It is kind of gruesome but I don't really have a problem with it. But also it's kind of a cliché.
I tried to join this group about an hour ago, and it came up with an error that said that the group's moderators did not accept my membership. Why is that, and how do I fix it? I tried asking the mod, but I don't think he knows because he just started making personal attacks for being dumb because I don't know. -.-

I don't know, is it a private group? Because in that case, the mods have to approve your request to join. And if they don't ... well, you can't really "fix" it besides maybe convincing them to let you join.

I figured out what happened -- the dork actually blocked me to prevent me from joining. He's never been super fond of me. Fascinating stuff, this Goodreads politics. Whoot whoot.

Aahh I love Shakespeare so much. I've only actually read three of the plays but I've seen way more. When I was five, my older sister was in some Shakespeare plays, and I would memorize her lines along with her. :P Twelfth Night has always been one of my favorites. Also Much Ado About Nothing and, like, all of them...

A Midsummer Night's Dream or Macbeth are my suggestions. Midsummer..."
So, the good news is that I'm getting published in a book of poetry by local teens. The better news is that I'm kicking off our show we're putting on to launch the book, which is quite the honor because I was chosen by my biggest role model in the poetry world.
The bad news is that I can't show off to my two best friends in the world, Hazel and Savannah. I told them that the show would be starting at 7 PM. Well, I got an email this evening clarifying that it doesn't start until 8:30.
Here's the thing. Friday is the last day of our school academic term. I personally have my entire world expecting stuff of me between Thursday and Saturday. Savannah and Hazel too. They'll be tired. I'll be tired. And to be there 8:30 to 11 is overkill for them. Furthermore, Savannah and I have a practice AP test at 8 AM the following day.
So, basically, neither of them can come. I'm crushed because I really want them to be a part of my poetry journey, because they've both inspired some really good poems. (Savannah is the subject of my favorite.) And they support me in all this crazy stuff I do and I feel more loved by them than anyone else in the world.
And so I'm disappointed, because everyone performing has close friends coming to see them. Except me. And I'll just be up there, on stage, wishing they were there, sitting in the front row. And it kinda takes a lot of the excitement out of it, because I was looking forward to sharing messages with the audience that only they would truly understand.

I'll be fine…I hope. :D I'm getting used to the notion that my friends can't come.
I HAZ AN ANNOUNCEMENT
I need help picking pieces to perform tomorrow night. Please head on over to the poetry folder and look at my poems and pick one or two of your favorites. I just realized that there are three on top of "An Open Letter from Son to Mother" that I have to perform. And I don't know which!

Headed out in a little bit to perform my poetry. Y'all should totes buy the book (see topic in poetry section) and watch the YouTube videos I'll put up tonight or tomorrow.
So I was drawing yesterday under the influence of the Brave soundtrack, specifically track 17-Not Now (which, as you can recall is when Elinor loses it for the second time and Fergus goes after her). And it was so dramatic and desperate that when my sister, who walks making as much noise as a ghost, entered the room I sort of shriek-gasped. xD
She and I haven't spoken to each other in a year and she's been pressured by my parents to start again amd she was really upset about it but I found it hilarious. XDDD

Ok guys I need your opinion about a new WIP I'm starting.
I've started it but I didn't make a topic for it yet because I'm not sure if it's even going to work.
My idea is: write the chapters from different objects' point of view. Like maybe "Chapter 1: Door" and "Chapter 2: Pencil" or something.
And then each object would say some stuff in their chapter like for example if the MC slammed the door the door might say some stuff like "Oh, I'm so old, why can't people be kinder to me" or something.
And then each chapter would show, from little things that the MC did (For example, she was very restless so she kept tapping the pencil), her personality and then it would all lead up to a big event and show readers why she did it. (I'm not revealing the ending yet :D) And because it would be shown from various 'little' things that she did it would be very clear to the readers, rather than a jumping-to-conclusions-obvious way that it might appear to be.
I was thinking of titling the chapters after whose PoV it is but I'm not sure if it will get too confusing after a while or if readers will even get it.
Sorry for this hugely confusing rant but I hope someone out there can help me out. (I also didn't know where to put this....?)
