Can I make a suggestion? Can it just be read 3 in a row of any series? I have some that I have read the first 3 but maybe not anything after that....
We'll need to double-check with Lizz, but I don't see why not, Shannon... as long as you keep it all in a row. Like 3, 4, 5? Or 11, 12, 13?
I seem to recall that in the original rules said only 2 could be the same series but I could be mistaken.
I actually have up to the 7th book in a series pending for April. Here's hoping I make it through all of them.READ: 0/7 (1 each)

Maybe we should just have a second challenge and call it something like, "Ducks in a Row" and do like Shannon said? Then they could be books from the same series or a mix-n-match, as long as it was at least three in a row.
I've learned the hard way not to OD on a series. I start comparing the books and noticing the similarities.
Lisa Kay wrote: "I've learned the hard way not to OD on a series. I start comparing the books and noticing the similarities."Exactly! Even a series you love gets old when you read them back to back to back. You start noticing the formula is the same in every book and you realize it's going to end exactly as every other one. If you space them out, it's still there but not as noticeable.
Maybe we could do a "Three for Two" challenge. Then it could be for two months, involve three books, which could be from the same series or a mix-n-match, and be all in a row. There couldn't be more than two from the same series... Could be something like:#6 -
#7 -
#8 -
However it's decided, I would definitely be interested in participating in a series related challeng that involves going beyond book #3. I, too, have many series where I'm at either the second or third book, and need just the extra little push to either move beyond that or discontinue the series.

What is wrong with GRs? This layout makes it incredibly difficult to figure out what I'm looking at. I had to restructure my post since it was impossible to see my layout in this new format. So....CHALLENGE COMPLETE

If you put an html code above where you put book covers it will put them in a horizontal line.for instance:
add book cover
I don't know why it works, but someone on another message thread mentioned it and it worked for me here.

(I hope you don't mind I posted this, Lizz.)
This challenge will be an ongoing monthly mini-challenge to keep us all motivated to start, (and then continue), some of the many series in our TBR.
Rules:
1) You must read one of each; a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd book in a series.
2) Any genre of series is acceptable.
3) 'Half-step' short-stories (i.e., shorts in anthologies), do not count.
**For uniformity, the numbering on GR will be the judge of this.**
4) Rereads do count.
