Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) What Regina said. It's literally a drag and drop from ADE into the menu bar if your reader is plugged in.

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Oh..thanks, Regina! I'll def ask you (like I always do with these types of questions) if I decide to buy this. I just checked my library and put myself on the waiting list. So, maybe I don't have to buy this book after all.

message 4203: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Thanks, Stacia. I just haven't used ADE in a long time. But I remember it was a pain installing and figuring it out when I did. Plus, I have to reinstall it again b/c I took it off of my computer.

message 4204: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Once you got it down, it is super easy. It is the first few times remembering the different steps.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I hate ADE. I have cleared everything off my Nook and ADE and uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I'm still getting error messages from expired gallies that I don't even have on my computer anymore.

message 4206: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) That is really frustrating.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It's pretty much a required program if you have advanced reader copies/gallies sent to your computer instead of your device (I don't use my Kindle for my gallies because of reasons I won't go into here).

message 4210: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I prefer epub. It is just so much easier to use epub for my Nook.

message 4211: by Leea (new)

Leea ADE is why I stopped getting gallies on my nook. I had some issues with it and it wouldn't recognize my nook after I had some work done on my computer.

It's so much easier with Kindle. Now I want to know those reasons. lol!

message 4212: by Leea (new)

Leea Regina, you're going to like Elemental and Storm. I'm still rereading The Summer Garden, it's been like a week and i'm only 14% into it. I know whats coming and I don't want to put myself through the heartache.

I might start Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by CJ Roberts - it looks like a shorter book. I was going to see if you wanted to read this, Kay but I saw you read it already.

I've had Slammed (Slammed #1) by Colleen Hoover on my TBR list and i'm not sure if I should read it. I have this feeling it's another Beautiful Disaster book. You know how when books get so much hype it tends to turn me off. Not sure.

It's got a great title! Will download tonight.

message 4214: by Leea (new)

Leea You'll love it, Tellulah! It's an amazing book.

I'm about 27% into Captive in the Dark and it's good. Different than Comfort Food. Darker, more hurtful and rough.

message 4215: by Leea (new)

Leea Regina, I can't wait to hear what you think of Gunmetal Magic, I still need to read it.

Slammed is by no means another beautiful disaster~ it's a book that stands on its own with it's originality. I recommend trying it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Reading The Angel (The Original Sinners, #2) by Tiffany Reisz and it's okay so far.

Stacia, I'm looking forward to your review on this. I had some issues with book 1 and not sure if I want to continue reading more.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I did too. I never took to Nora, Soren or Zach. I only really liked Wesley and was hoping that there would be more of him but it appears that he won't get a major role until book 3.

The series seems to be moving in the direction of including other characters now though. I'm liking Michael and Griffin's storyline a lot better than Nora and Soren's. Nora strikes me as very selfish and childish at times for being close to my own age and it rubs me the wrong way.

Thanks MarryBeth, i'll give it a try. Hope I didn't offend you by comparing the two books :)

Leea Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by CJ Roberts - holy mind *uck!!

i'm finding myself wanting Caleb to touch her tenderly.

message 4225: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I am surprised with you ladies. I absolutely loved Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare and Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare . I can't wait for Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare , which btw, has one of the best covers I have ever seen.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Leea wasn't referring to Clockwork Angel (which I loved). She quoted the book I'm reading, which is The Angel by Tiffany Reisz and GR changed the cover. It's a glitch in their system.

I don't know how this book can be enjoyable while making me feel sick in the stomach.

Finished The Summer Without Men, which is book two of my literature class. My presentation on The Uncle's Story went well today and I don't know my mark but received some positive feedback from my tutor so that makes my hard work worth it.
I'm half way through Magic Bites, I had it on my to-read list for ages but something was holding me back from reading it and I cannot work out what it could have been because a part from first-in-the-series-itis (information overload) it's a good story.

message 4231: by Leea (new)

Leea Finished Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by CJ Roberts and i'm curious how this whole thing is going to play out. This book messes with your mind. I hope in the end there is some kind of Happy ending for Livvie.

I'm still rereading the Summer Garden - it's not officially the longest reread in history, i'm really just savoring every word. I hope to start Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1) by Ann Aguirre tomorrow.

Is this another Forbidden? I just can't really take anything like that again.

message 4233: by Leea (last edited Aug 15, 2012 11:03AM) (new)

Leea Yeah, a little more like Comfort food but it's different. The story isn't finished and there is a revenge plot.

It's a mind*uck!!

After listening to this, i'm pretty sure everybody I've ever met has the potential to kill their spouse... I think my husband does to... He kept looking at me funny while I was listening and when we got in bed, he said " so you gave up romance books and no you are reading books about killing spouses?" His tone was joking, but when I reached over to spoon he jumped a little.

Courtney and Kay, if you wait a little book. I'll join you for book 2. We're buddy reading it with a few people in The Powder Room, if anyone else wants to join us.

It's kind of like the Fifty Shades thing you know, where everyone has read it so I figured I'd take a peek too. I got it from the library so it's not like I made an investment.
