Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Have her sign your Nook. I hear people do that!

message 7453: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) LOL!!

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Wow I am not sure I am that hardcore Kay. Ha ha!

message 7455: by Leea (new)

Leea It's worth it to buy tem alllllll!!! Haha! How awesome, you'll have to post pics if you go.

I like that too about cooper. I wonder what he'll do with te bar? I'd love to read about jack finding VR for the first time.

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I am still debating whether or not to go. The place where it is located has mad traffic. I am not even sure it will be worth rushing there after work and getting caught in traffic. It is a bitch to get caught in traffic in LA.

Valerie, I liked Maze Runner a lot! It was the following books that disappointed me."

Hum, that is what I've been reading in the reviews.... I will definitively read the 2nd one and let you know! Have you read the 3rd one?

message 7459: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) I intensely DISLIKED Stephanie Plum #19 Notorious Nineteen!!! I am done with the Plum series.

I also picked up The Red Velvet Cupcake Murder in the Hannah Swensen murder series... I was sure that Ms. Fluke had finally resolved that triangle, as well, with the previous book. But when I started to read the new one, it was obvious we were back on the same old, tired rut that we've been in since book 1. I literally returned the Kindle book and got a refund from Amazon! I'm done with that series, too. UGH!

Still caught up in the Black Dagger Brotherhood re-read. On Book #7 Rehv's book now.

But I've got a load on my TBR list... and you ladies aren't helping with all the tempting books that you're reading and talking about!

message 7460: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I love Rev's book. It was my favorite.

message 7461: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Lori, I think I am going down the same road with Nortious as you were. It started off funny, but I think that had more to do with me taking a 2-3 year break from the series. Now I feel like I am listening to the same book I listened to years ago ... donuts, chicken, Lula believing stupid stuff, dinner at parents' house, Morelli is horny, Ranger says Babe ....

I've read all of them, except the prequel.

I won't taint your read with my opinion anymore. :) I'll be looking forward to your thoughts though.

message 7463: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I liked Rehv's book a lot, because I like Rehv. Ehlena was probably my very least favorite female though.

message 7464: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Agreed.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Don't you hate when series come full circle but it's not the end?

Finished Out in Blue (Return to Sanctuary, #1) by Sarah Gilman and thought it was a good start for a pnr/uf type series. Something about it reminded me of guild hunter but I liked this better.

message 7466: by Megan (new)

Megan | 135 comments Currently reading Wallbanger by Alice Clayton . Love it!

message 7467: by Leea (new)

Leea Kay and Stacia - I'm not going to be able to read Always Been Mine with you tomorrow. I just can't fit it in and i'm really sorry.

Garrett had a reaction to his vaccine that he got on Monday, his leg swelled up and he has this red inflamed bump thats the size of half a baseball. We had to rush to the doctor today because it's huge and I was so worried. He's not on some strong antibiotic and Benadryl. I think this was the straw that broke the camels back... Day 4 of my husband being gone and i'm so spent. Then this and I just feel overwhelmed. He comes home tomorrow and I cannot wait for his support.

message 7468: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Spent most of yesterday forcing myself to be responsible and finish all my marking instead of reading Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4) by Ilona Andrews . But I swear, the millisecond I threw the final paper down, i started burning my way through that book. Holy Hannah! Loved it!

message 7469: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments Regina--I don't think I'm going to be able to read Eyest of Silver, Eyes of Gold until the end of next week. If you want to go ahead and read it without me, go ahead. If you want to wait, I'll probably pick it up next Wednesday.

Sorry. :(

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That's fine Leea. Sorry to hear about Garrett. :(

Big hugs, Leea. Sorry you're having such a stressful time!

message 7473: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am so sorry Leea. :( that sounds miserable. I hope he isn't hurting?

Angie I can wait for you. I have lots of stuff to read! But no pressure.

message 7474: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments Megan wrote: "Currently reading Wallbanger by Alice Clayton. Love it!"

OMG this is one of my favorites, so funny!!! I just finished The Unidentified Redhead (Redhead, #1) by Alice Clayton and The Redhead Revealed (Redhead, #2) by Alice Clayton and they were great also. Can't wait for her to write more!

Hope he feels better Leea!

message 7475: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Hi Laura! Miss you!!!!

message 7476: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) So I finished The Wanderer (Thunder Point, #1) by Robyn Carr and Stacia would hate it, lol. But I loved it! 4 stars. I skimmed a few parts, I get bored with too much inner monologue but I can't wait for the 2nd to be released in June The Newcomer (Thunder Point #2) by Robyn Carr and the third in August (so it looks like VR is on hold for awhile) The Hero (Thunder Point, #3) by Robyn Carr

Notorious Nineteen (Stephanie Plum, #19) by Janet Evanovich had a few laugh out loud moments involving a nudist beach, so I was thankful for those.

I am starting The Book of Killowen (Nora Gavin, #4) by Erin Hart

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sigh. When did I turn into a picky brat?

message 7478: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) LMAO! You are funny. :-) The Wanderer has a lot of meals being eaten and high school football games being attended -- and not much dark. :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I don't mind light...I just think I need humor or wit if I'm going light?

Speaking of dark, has anyone read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt ? I'm considering this one.

message 7480: by Cindy (new)

Cindy C Bennett (cindycbennett) | 2 comments Hmmm never heard of that one. Cover looks cool though!

I am currently reading Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

It's pretty good, but very different from the movie so far.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Is it? Oohh...I'm curious now. I loved the movie and I picked up the book when it was a 25 cent kindle deal. Let me know it goes!

message 7482: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Well, this is a spinoff series from Virgin River -- and it is pretty similar to VR, so that is where my theory came from. It definitely is not a humor based book.

I have only seen the movie, which I enjoyed.

message 7483: by Valérie (new)

Valérie (valou5) | 11 comments Ok so The Maze Runner The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner is finished. I really liked it.
NOw am I starting Battle Royale Battle Royale by Koushun Takami or Ship Breaker Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) by Paolo Bacigalupi ????

message 7484: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Ship Breaker is a good story, great world building but it is dark - -and it took a long time for me to connect to the characters. But it is a good story. I never felt compelled to move on and read the sequel.

Regina (reginar) Tellulah did you start #4 on Kate Daniels yet?

message 7488: by Tellulah (new)

Finished it. Loved it!! Started book 5 but not loving it as much because (view spoiler)

message 7489: by Leea (new)

Leea I miss Kate and Curran :) Enjoy!! It's still sexy and hot.

Finished The Wanderer (Thunder Point, #1) by Robyn Carr and I really enjoyed it. Took a bit to get into but then Carr brought the humor and small town feel then added several romances. I'll be looking for book 2 in June - Yay Mac!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Since I am starting that book with Kay tomorrow, I decided not to start anything else new today and instead buckle down and finish a book that had been in progress for over a month.

Summerset Abbey (Summerset Abbey, #1) by T.J. Brown was cute - very similar to Downton Abbey the show (except the show is better).

I've only seen the movie Battle Royale but the book is one that I've been meaning to read for ages.

This morning when I left I pick-up Ship Breaker so I'll read this one first and my next one will be Battle Royale! I'll let you know if I like ship breaker

message 7494: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished The Cat's Meow (Witch's Brew, #1) by Stacey Kennedy and Making Him Sweat (Harlequin Blaze #740) by Meg Maguire . I will start Always Been Mine by Elizabeth Reyes sometime today but I'm super busy at work right now. So, Stacia, I probably won't be able to really dive into this until tonight.

message 7495: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am in sort of a funk, which is silly b/c it only started yesterday when I finished The Wanderer by Carr.

I am not in the mood for the ARC I was reading The Book of Killowen (Nora Gavin, #4) by Erin Hart

I am tired (woke up with 3 of my 4 kids in my bed, ugh -- not a good night's sleep). I think I need something light, sweet with good characters.

Curran... sigh... Not Barrons but still great. Book 5 is getting better for me. But talk about emotional rollercoaster!

message 7498: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Now that I am past Fever, I do think Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson are better written and more solidly developed, just not as addicting for some reason.

I haven't seen the movie...

message 7500: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I finished Notorious Nineteen. I feel like I read the book before.

I am listening to Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1) by Isaac Marion

As for what to read, I am thinking of reading:

Fever Dreams by Laura Leone Her Forbidden Hero (The Hero, #1) by Laura Kaye Running Scared (Sentinel Wars, #3) by Shannon K. Butcher The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks Holly Lane (Destiny, #4) by Toni Blake Deep in the Valley (Grace Valley Trilogy, #1) by Robyn Carr Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers #1) by Sarah MacLean

I guess it seems obvious what kind of mood I am in. :)
