It is def more dark than Austen but I wouldn't say it's not as good!
I liked Jane Eyre better than Austen's works...it's one of my favorite books ever. It's more plot-driven, not as quotable, as Austen's writing, and does have some heavier themes. The writing is superb and absorbing. Once you begin, you probably won't be able to put it down very easily. Although the plot is very different, the feel of the story is similar to Wilkie Collins's "Woman in White", which is another of my greatest favorites.

Currently re-reading (for the 4th time, I think) -
by Lynn Austin This is such a great series!! I highly recommend it!! ;D And it's free on kindle right now, just so y'all know! ;)
I'm reading
(sharing that one with my middle daughter as we're reading it together) - so I'm also reading
Miss Truelove Beckons Loving it so far. The title makes the book sound like a right chick-flick but it isn't, there are a lot more serious themes (linking to war) involved. I am really enjoying it though :)
Out of the Silent Planet by C. S. Lewis and
a knitting book with stories and patterns that I hate, but I hate not finishing a book even more :)
Thank you. Yea, been hearing a lot of good things about it hence I decided to check it out of the library.
Beth wrote: "It's definitely as good, Caro! I agree with Cari, it's a bit darker."okay ill attempt it :)

Re reading Edenbrooke as I have exams coming up and need to not be distracting by new books - I end up wanting to read the books and not work and I read late into the night, not good before exams!

Oh I have no doubt you will love the rest of the book. I can't wait for the second book. Anyone know when it comes out?

is already out.It came out I think last month.
Right now i am working my way through The Hot Country by Robert Olen Butler, set in Mexico and moving as slow as manana. A few passages were almost Hemingway-ish in style and power, but too few and too far between.
Oh Nicole, you meant the second book for Cinder is out! Lol I thought you meant for Austentatious! Lol Hence my surprise at the mention of a second book. But I was curious about the second book Scarlet, so thank you for letting me know. Will try to get on that right away!

What is Austentatious like?I have heard of it but never really looked into it.Is it good and also is it clean romance or not?
I liked Austentatious. If you're an Austen fan, you'll like the similar vibe it has. It's pretty funny and it is a clean romance. There is vague mention of sex but very very vague, nothing explicit. Here's my review (hopefully the link works lol) if you wanna read my rant: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
