I am on chapter 12! I love the book so far. Can't believe I put off reading it for so long. :)

It is def more dark than Austen but I wouldn't say it's not as good!

It's definitely as good, Caro! I agree with Cari, it's a bit darker.

I liked Jane Eyre better than Austen's works...it's one of my favorite books ever. It's more plot-driven, not as quotable, as Austen's writing, and does have some heavier themes. The writing is superb and absorbing. Once you begin, you probably won't be able to put it down very easily.
Although the plot is very different, the feel of the story is similar to Wilkie Collins's "Woman in White", which is another of my greatest favorites.

Miss Truelove Beckons Loving it so far. The title makes the book sound like a right chick-flick but it isn't, there are a lot more serious themes (linking to war) involved. I am really enjoying it though :)

Re reading Edenbrooke as I have exams coming up and need to not be distracting by new books - I end up wanting to read the books and not work and I read late into the night, not good before exams!

Right now i am working my way through The Hot Country by Robert Olen Butler, set in Mexico and moving as slow as manana. A few passages were almost Hemingway-ish in style and power, but too few and too far between.

LOL Sorry.I am loving Cinder and can't wait to read Scarlet.Cress comes out in 2014 and the last book Winter in 2015.

What is Austentatious like?I have heard of it but never really looked into it.Is it good and also is it clean romance or not?
