What are you currently reading?
Ooo, thank you Nicole. I still love kids books and YA books, so those look like they are right up my alley! Thanks for showing them to me :)
I love YA and children's literature too :-DI'm actually on the final book of the Fablehaven series now for the 2nd time, only this time I'm reading it aloud to the family and they're loving it too! I am finding that I like it even more this 2nd time around, I think because I'm reading it out loud - it's definitely a good "read aloud" book :-)
I've heard so much about that series! It seems really cute & fun. I hope that I will read aloud to my (future) kids. :)
I've finished reading
by Jamie Ford last night. I really loved this book! Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is a beautiful, fascinating, tender and moving story from beginning to end. Like the title suggests, the story is such a bitter-sweet tale, heartbreaking at times and so warm and sweet in others. All the characters were vivid, well-developed and realistic. I really loved the characters of Henry, Keiko and Sheldon, and really cared about what happened to them. I found it really hard to put this novel down and I look forward to reading more from this author! I gave this novel 5 Stars! My full review is here:

Now I'm a few chapters into
by John Steinbeck.
I've only read the first chapter so far but I will update on it for you guys. I haven't gotten much time to read lately. :)
Today started reading the biography of
Virginia Woolf by Hermione Lee. BIG book -- finished part 1 -- 3 more parts to go. Great beginning!!
Freezing cold here -- anyone else in negative numbers?!
Carol wrote: "Freezing cold here -- anyone else in negative numbers?!"nope....We're in the 60s-70s every day right now. Not very wintry, but nice all the same :]
I think I am on a fantasy burn out.I just couldn't get into under the never sky.Time for a Regency Romance.I have been looking throw my books and I think I have almost desided. It is a nightmare trying to deside what book to read next.

Soph wrote: "I enjoyed that one :) happy reading :)"Thanks I am not that far but I have already been laughing and grinning like crazy.I love Georgette Heyer.I am enjoying the small village setting.I have lived most of my childhood in a small town and a small island town.
It was hard picking which book to read.It was between 5 different Heyer's,Edenbrooke, and a Zebra Regency Romance.
Soph wrote: "Zebra regency romance? You MUST read Edenbrooke!! It's wonderful!"
It was a book club that specialized in regency romance novels. It doesn't run anymore it stopped in 2005.I heard that these are usually clean or cleaner then other current regency romance.I found one for 2 dollars and desided to check it out.
Soph wrote: "Nice. Enjoy the Heyer and Edenbrooke should be read soon ;)"I have only heard good things bout Edenbrooke. But I haven't read any non-Heyer Regency so I hope I'm not disappointed. It hard when your intro into the genre is the queens of it Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer.
I don't think you will be disappointed - I only have good things to say about it! I hope your not disappointed!
Nicole wrote: "Salyna wrote: "Maire by Linda Windsor"ooohh! How is that one??"
Just finished it last night. It was a really good book. Definitely worth reading in my opinion. I really don't know what to say about it at the moment without giving stuff away, but it was good.
Pride and Prejudice for a celebratory bicentenary group read and Duel of Hearts by Diane Farr :)

Steph - I LOVED that book!!! I wish he'd hurry up with the next one already lol. I've given up hope that he's ever going to finish it.
Recently finished
Trinity: Military War Dog by Ronie Kendig. Just as I expected, it was a great book!! ;DLast night, I started
Relentless by Robin Parrish

I just finished part 1 of the Hunger games, it is my most disappointed book of 2013. Now I am going to start in the Night circus, hopefully a better book

Nelleke, the cover is a big part of my choosing a book as well. I did like When Autumn Leaves. I can see where it wouldn't be for everyone, it just depends on if you like magical stories because this one is nothing but magic. It's very good though, it seems a bit disjointed when you're reading it but things are tied together in the end.

"I enjoyed Night Circus. A little different than expected, but still a good book (in my opinion).

I've finished reading
by John Steinbeck. The Grapes of Wrath is a beautifully written but extremely moving and heartbreaking novel with interesting, realistic and well-developed characters. I love John Steinbeck's wonderful writing style. I just loved his fantastic vivid descriptions of the landscape and the people. At times the descriptions of the barren landscape and the appalling conditions the family have to put up with is very depressing. I wanted to put the book down sometimes due to this but I'm glad a persevered through and finished the novel. This novel well deserved the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction it won in 1940 and it really is a masterpiece of 20th Century literature. It is definitely a must read! Four stars! My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm about to start on
by Nicholas Evans.

Steph, I don't know when. It was supposed to be done by now but it's not so I'm not sure what's going on with it. I haven't searched for anymore info lately. I suppose I could email the author.
