Well, I've started reading
, and I've got to admit, I've cried reading this book. I never realised just how much of a struggle it is to deal with a family member who has a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Well,
managed what no other book has done for a long time. It made me cry, and I have to admit it was a riveting read. I'm now onto the
, as I need a "take you brain cell out" book, and from all the reviews, it should be a real laugh.
Sounds like you need a laugh after
Karen :) I'm just over 20% into
and it's made me laugh a couple of times. Reminds me a bit of Forrest Gump :)

Bit of a book worm I'm afraid - don't watch much TV at home, and refuse point blank to stare at a computer screen after I finish work, so the Kindle has been my life saver. Have to admit that I am enjoying
, as it's made me giggle a couple of times...

I started it last year but I had group reads to get on with so I put it down but now that I've read
and I almost had to have
Night pried from my fingers last night (I'll probably get on with it tonight but it is a harrowing subject so I might leave it a day) I might just start
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks:)

so on my way to find The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
after finishing Night but on my way through my kindle I found
The Illustrated Man. So it all came down to 'l' before 'm' order lol.

Now reading
. So far, so good, although it is a simple read. I'm not against reading young adult books so I'll stick with it. I'm guessing it's meant to be a YA book.

So I am looking forward to seeing what they entail. I am almost finished with Eldestand have enjoyed it so far. I too wasn't impressed with the later Hunger Games books (well, any of them actually - it's the first time that i've liked the film more than the book!) but I did think the idea of the story was fantastic. :) I have Beautiful Creatures on my wishlist.. maybe I should refrain from reading them now!
Well, I finished the Age of Five trilogy (
,
&
, then read then decided to read
. Then I needed something a little lighter, so I read
. This made me cry in parts, and I just hope that James manages to get his life back together. Now gone back to a real blast from my reading past -
... Just wish I could get the rest of the Jack Ryan books on Kindle!
Well, I stopped reading
because it was too juvenile and I figured I have plenty of other books to read, so why waste my time. So, now I'm reading
. It's the last in the series, so that's a little sad.

horrible to reach the end - worse if you've read a couple together x

Aspergirls by Rudy Simone. Very recogniseable and I've read it in one day. I think I'll give it to my parents to read and ask what they think.

For some reason, when I tried to say what book I was writing in my post above, it made my post weird. Anyway I'm currently readingThis Is Improbable: Cheese String Theory, Magnetic Chickens, and Other WTF Research by Marc Abrahams
Gone back to a series that I loved in a "tree book" - the Patricia Briggs series - Mercy Thompson (
,
,
,
,
,
&
) - so that's my next few books spoken for!*Grin*
I'm onto the third instalment of the Eragon books, Brisingr, about half way through and still really enjoying the series. Have so much work to do but the book keeps distracting me!

Ouch! $13?? The UK has it for £4.99 (not too bad I suppose). Good book though - never thought I'd see the outcome though. Not saying any more, as I don't want to spoil it for people who've not read it. Gone back to the non-fiction this time - a book for any music fan -
- as funny as hell. How this man is still walking & talking is beyond me, but I really enjoyed it. So now back to an old favourite -
- just a book that I adore (and needed a little light relief after Ozzy!)
I'm currently re-reading Ian Fleming's James Bond books. Finished
and
, and I'm currently reading
.
Also on the go is
. I'm enjoying the series, although it's a little bit pedestrian at times. Some of them keep you guessing, though, so they're worth a read if you like Charlaine Harris.

As I can't take my kindle to work I bought
(that's Various pets alive and dead by Marina Lewycka for anyone on phone/iPad) to read. Little disappointed, i didn't enjoy it as much as some of her previous books.

Finished reading
, and have just started reading the Giordano Bruno series by S. J. Parris. It's a cracking series, and I'm hoping that book 2 (
) is as good as the first book -
.
Thanks! I'm enjoying it so far, don't think I would have ever picked it up if it wasn't for GoodReads
Guess it's time to update the reading files... I've now read
, and then moverd rapidly on to
. Then it was on to a book I've meant to read for a while -
. Then it was on to a book that has been calling to me like a siren (no pun intended, I promise) to
- the scampered off to
- the only thing the book and the film have in common is the murderous game and the title. Then it was off to
- can't wait for the final part of this series! Then it was back to the non-fiction, and read
. Bit of a let down as the Worm in question didn't (or should that be hasn't) really done anything... Then it was back to the alternative side of fiction, and read
, followed by
and finished off with
- again, can't wait for the next book in the series. Currently reading
- I've read this before, but it's a damned good book, just not for the squeamish.
Finished
, and am now reading
. Not sure about this, but I'll perserve with it, and unless it *really* improves, I doubt I'll bother with any more books from this author.

I'm 2/3 of the way through it and I am finding it difficult to put down:)

Finshed
, and won't bother with the rest of this series. Not good as far as I'm concerned. However, found a real corker of an author - J R Rain. His writing reminds me of Jim Butcher, and I really enjoyed the Knighthorse series (
,
&
). Can't wait for the next book in the series! And now I'm reading
. Perfect "take your brain out" reading - especially after a bad day in the office. Nost sure what the next book will be, as I'm desperately trying to avoid reading the John le Carré Smiley series....
Having read 'tinker tailor soldier spy' I would recommend putting off John le Carre for as looooong as possible!
I've been reading the rest of Ben Aaronovitch's books after Rivers of London and loving them, 'whispers underground' reminded me a little of something Neil Gaiman might write.

Still resisting the John le Carre books! Succumbed to a series that I read years ago - the Chronicles of the Necromancer

, as this has also been calling to me!.Also got the
, as this was a £0.20 purchase on my Kindle, so that's also on the reading list!
Jo wrote: "Have you read the first two Karen?"Damn. No - didn't realise this was book 3. Looks like I'll have to change the reading plans... :-(
I had stopped filling my kindle but the other day I decided to check out the U.K. daily deals and happened upon
- I'm 78% in and am about to finish it. It's a little bit fascinating with a large dose of intrigue :)

Reading The Universe v Alex Woods, would highly recommend as a holiday read as its funny, entertaining and really sweet.

I like a bit of funny - it's quite unusual.

Don't believe the 'European Gone Girl' hype, because it's not. Interesting idea but hated the characters
