Oooh Cheeky one you are! haha
I couldn't read for a few days so I was only reading a couple of pages at a time. Now I'm flying through it, it's actually a lot easier read that I thought it would be. I love how Florence makes up her own words. There have been a few times where I've literally laughed out loud but now I'm half way through it's getting a bit serious... dum dum dum x

I am currently reading Micro by Michael Crichton and am really enjoying it. You can so see it being made into a big blockbuster though like Jurassic Park.

This is not a good sign, I am rather worried. Is it that bad? :s

It might be because I started reading his new book a few months ago and got really in to it but put it down for group reads. This book seems slower and there are so many characters where the other hooked me straight away and was much more focused.
How far into it are you Kirsty? I read it a few months ago but remember it having a few slow bits, but bear with it as I enjoyed it in the end when the character relationships develop a bit more.

I'm about 120 pages in. Do you fancy being discussion leader? I've got over 900 pages to go:/ Have you read his new one?

Thanks for the offer but I will have to pass on discussion leader as my work is really busy to from time to time I pop in and out of here so i'm probably not the best person to get involved as I wouldn't be able to devote enough time to it at the moment.I haven't read his new one yet, my Dad, who's a big SK fan, got it for Xmas so I may borrow it afterwards however I can't say the theme of the book appeals to me as much as some of his others so I think I may struggle with the new one.
It's really good. I'm only a quarter of the way through so it's still setting the scene and background at the moment but is about code breaking. I get the feeling this is one of those I will sit up half the night reading.
I am re-reading 'Down under' by Bill Bryson. I have packed nearly all my books ready to move and found this in the bathroom ! I wasn't going to buy more until we moved but accidentally went to the charity shop yesterday and got a Peter James book and a Patricia Cornwell.
I am reading and am half way through 1Q84 (1984) by murakami and it is very good, i didnt think i would get into it but i did !! think im going to put it on the polls for next months read so everyone else can enjoy it :) xx

It took me a little while to be bothered but it pays off in the end! I would recommend it. After 1Q84 i have daughter of smoke and bone to read - any one read that?
Which one filled you with sorrow Amina? I loved SOTW it is sad in parts, but I am pretty sure you would like it :) x
I am reading
.I read the first two, they're not great but easy reading, so of course now I have to read the next two as well!
I have just started reading
it's an interesting idea, and I needed a bit of an easier read after AG.
I started reading
yesterday, I haven't got very far yet as I've been in the hospital half the day with my SIL while she was being induced and we are still waiting on my Niece as it seems she is to comfortable where she is :D x

The only reason I've put it down is to watch a film and not be antisocial lol

I loved that book, its rather disturbing at parts but such an interesting read. It's a book I really got lost in :)

The crooked man was very disturbing and when the author said in the Q&A (at the back of the book) some people ask why it's not a children's book I balked (and boaked)

The descriptions of most of the twisted fairy tale characters and their cruelty but mainly the crooked man and his rooms.

I'm reading
at the moment, and really enjoying it. It's been on my shelves for a while, and I really wish I'd picked it up sooner. It's a rewriting of
set in a girl's boarding school. Very gripping so far!

I'm reading
. It's pretty good, although it does drag in parts. The concept of vampires being behind the American Civil War is an interesting one.

Oh sorry I thought you meant something in the Q&A question made you balk, but yes the crooked man is creepy. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves made me laugh though. I think we forget how scary some of the original fairy tales are, we get used to the 'disneyfied' versions of some of them I think.

I'm going to get back to
- I was really enjoying it but I got distracted by the inlaws staying. I started to read
which I really persisted with and am at 77% but it really drags with details and because I think it seems like he is a great author I will finish it (I will, I will!)

I'm reading 'the help' atm and loving it. Im 200 pages in. I bought the hunger games trilogy and the snow child today. I have this week off so hoping to get quite a bit of reading in as I've missed last months read due to work and life business.
I keep hovering over whether to read The Hunger Games or not. The fact that it's so mega-popular puts me off a bit, and I'm not usually too fond of YA, but I never read Twilight or Harry Potter and it did feel like I missed ot on a lot of what everyone was talking about.
I've never wanted to read Twilight but someone compared The Hunger Games to 'Lord of the Flies' which I have read previously so I feel compelled to find out whether there are any similarites. Also, Harry Potter is awesome (although I did start reading the books when I was 11 so I was a YA-ish lol)
I read
itself before I knew there was a film, and I did enjoy it for light reading - you could do it in a day Sophia and then you'd see if it was worth reading the other 2?
- and I'm addicted. Once I started reading yesterday I ended up trying to read it everywhere but I didn't manage to get back to it last night. I don't know why I'm finding it so engrossing but I'm hoping it keeps it up:)
