I think all these challenges mesh in nicely with the 12x12 challenge. It's always fun to visit another place :)
here's my thread from the group...it has the books I read last year and the ones i've read so far this yearhttp://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...
Thanks for posting that link! I'm really interested in the mileage one. How fun is that?! Looking at some of those book titles... Geez! I'm not sure where to get those books. Library def will not have them its too small and I've seen only a handful of travel books the bookstore closest to me. I'd have to do some searching for sure.
i'm lucky that my library is in a consortium with 13 others and I can get most other books through Inter-library loan and they don't charge anythingif you look at some of the other folders, she has it done by country, so you can search and she also keeps a running thread of cheap kindle and other ebooks - i've gotten a few that way
I didn't see the kindle ebook thread. I'll have to look again or I might twist your arm to post that link on here too ;) *twist* *evil grin*
don't twist too much!!Free/Cheap Ebooks:

Hello to all challenge lovers!By popular request I have created a folder for you, if you would like, to put all of your challenges into one thread.
Hopefully this will be useful.
Located between the monthly and yearly challenge folders.
Just to mention. I finished Between Shades of Gray! It was sad and hopeful. A beautiful holocaust novel, one that should be recommend reading. 5 stars. It was highly recommended to me by several bookish friends, to read right away in Jan. I'm glad I listened. Just to pass it on. I highly recommend this novel. The younger brother was adorable, the mother was wise, Lina was courageous, the old man was how I would of pictured him, the guards were ruthless, and the love interest was tender. A great novel!
Plotting course to {London}
*grins* a young Sherlock Holmes *fans self* Yes, I think onward to our next destination today!
Me too! I am already visiting Japan and France! And at the same time. I have a foot in Japan, a foot in the US and a hand in France.
I see what makes the US great but there are so many better places out there. I want to see and experience as many places as possible.
I'll play. Will post books as I read along. I'm aiming for at least 30 reading destinations other than where I currently live (Ohio).22/30 READ; Updated 5.14.12

Try to explore other countries.
If you need some help picking out books there has been a thread created here earlier which gave me this idea. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7... It is still small so if you know of other books please do share... even if you don't think you will join in this challenge.
Just another way to encourage increase of pages & also a way to help others inch out of normal comfort Zones.
