I am currently reading The Passage
which is a post-apocalyptic polar opposite of a cozy mystery probably! I'll need something light after this 800+ page read!
I am reading
East of the Sun: A Novel right now, which is a historical fiction novel about India. I am not too sure about it yet.
I am reading a mystery Dead Cold
by Louise Penny it has another title too - A Fatal Grace. It is set in Canada and is the second in a series - a particularly nasty woman is murdered by being electrocuted in full view of the whole village next to a frozen lake. Most of the village has reason to kill her but who did it and how did they pull it off?
Currently I am reading Ready Player One which is awesome. Even if you are not a gamer, this book is so good.

I have several books that I've started but my main read at the moment is
I really need to stop starting so many books at a time! My goal for this month is to finish all of the books that I've started. :)
Apparently the book lookup feature isn't working right now as I can't post a link to the book I'm reading. Currently reading Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. I'm really enjoying it especially since I watched the PBS miniseries and can fill in the details now.
i'm currently reading Darkness on the Edge of Town. I just started it but it is definitely a "page turner" The backdrop is Bisbee, AZ- a town I've been to many times so it makes it more realistic for me!

I own that one and one of my goals is to read more of the books I own. Glad to hear it's good. Wish I would have known about the miniseries, I'll have to see if the show it again. I listened to
last week and thought it was great.

I have
a little over half finished, and I have to get it done, it's overdue at the library! I'm having a hard time not picking up other books though...
I am reading

That is the same thing I was worried about - I"m definitely not a sports fan. Glad to here that its good even if you aren't into sports!! :)
I just finished
Moloka'i this afternoon - another fantastic book by Alan Brennert. I also loved Honolulu. Both were five star reads for me. I started
The Snow Child today, which is one of my other group's picks for March.
I have been working on and off for the last 2 weeks on Deborah Mitford, the Duchess of Devonshire's autobiography
.It is the first non-fiction/non-parenting book I've read in quite a while.
I'm reading
as my main book. Also reading
and
, and listening to
and
.
I'm excited because this weekend I'm participating in a TBR Toppler, a 24 hour read-a-thon. The goal is to tackle some of those books that have been hanging around on your tbr shelf for a long time. I already have a pile ready and waiting for me to choose from!

I have both of these on my tbr. I'll be curious to see if you think they measure up to their ratings.

@jaxsnmom, coming off some 5 star reads (Bel Canto and The Sisters Brothers) I feel the writing is not as good, more typical, but the story is interesting so it's going well. It seems to be a typical story of that time (so far) but I feel like there is some suspense building so I'm curious to see where it goes. So far, so good but I'll keep you posted. :)
I just started Blow Out. Catherine Coulter's books are usually fast-paced and exciting, so I'm looking forward to it.
I just finished the ARC of
by Tana French that will be out this summer. It's police procedural blended with psychological thriller. It's really good, so if you like Tana French's books, be looking for it!
I'm reading The Path Between The Seas , about the building of the Panama Canal.
I'm going on a canal cruise this fall, so thought it was good research :)
I am reading Gone With the Wind for second time. Read it when I was fourteen.Finding things I missed the first time.
I am reading Defending Jacob by William Landy- it is very good so far- a mystery/crime/relationship theme
I just finished Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. The Pillars of the Earth Long book, but worth reading. I just picked up the Cinnamon Roll Murder by Joanne Fluke and the Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey.

As for GWTW I have read it several times - I love it- so much more to the book than to the movie
