Vi, well, I've read some.... the premise is good, the writing is OK, none of the characters grabbed me.
It is a book about Arthur Conan Doyle, not Sherlock, and also a modern day devotee of Sherlock. So it keeps moving between about 1900 and 2010, which is OK, but you never settle cause some time segments are only a couple of pages. The mystery is a missing ACD diary of the month's where he killed off Sherlock and the outrage it caused ordinary citizens.
The author obviously loved Sherlock and did considerable research on ACD's life, but even his character didn't leap off the page as I had expected it to.
If you want to read it, I recommend trying to get it from the library.
