I went to the library today (finally) and got these holds:

and I grabbed these from the "Best Bets" shelf which are one week loans:

Oh Battle Royale! When you get to it, write yourself a character list - it really helped me keep track of who is who (and how they kicked the bucket!). Even though it's a doorstop, I read it really quickly - it was a 'just one more chapter' book for me!
Awesome Pragya!!! Maybe someday I will get to it if I can find where it is on my dusty bookshelves lol
I picked up these holds today:
and
which I'm going to give a try. I wasn't a fan of the first novel in the series so if I don't like this one any better than I will abandon the series.

Kimberly, Dance of the Tiger: A Novel of the Ice Age looks fascinating. Please tell us what you think of it.
Robin wrote: "Awesome Pragya!!! Maybe someday I will get to it if I can find where it is on my dusty bookshelves lol"The book makes for a good relaxed reading. I didn't like it as much as I loved other books by Nicholas Sparks. Hope you find it someday when you are in the mood for it.

Well, it's hard to say that I really liked it. I listened to it on audiotape and almost turned it off after the first few chapters. But I'm nearing the end now and can't stop - kind of like a train wreck.

not a big fan of this book : ( It's ok but not one that I would highly recommend to anyone. I am having a really hard time getting through it as it is soooooooooo slow, dull and boring. It will probably end up with 2.5 or maybe 3 stars.

Pragya I wouldn't recommend it. It has taken me almost a month to read this book and I am still not done with it. There are various points where you think it is going to pick up and then it nose dives. I can only read a few pages at a time and then I have to pick up something else that will hold my attention. When my mind wanders in a book I know it is time to move on. I am forcing myself to read it :(

YW!!! I had high hopes for the book and really wanted to read to like it more than I do Pragya but I have been really disappointed in it lol I am anxiously awaiting to see what else Kimberly has to say about it : )
Too funny - I joined the group today and had just gone to the library yesterday. I picked up 2 holds,
and
. I also checked out a few more :D
This is a post I made in another group:
Hi. My name is jaxnsmom, and I am an addict.
I read/listen just about anywhere. I walk out of a library chastising myself, because there's no way I can read those 10 books and listen to the 10 audiobooks in two weeks, and I KNOW this, so why do I keep doing it??? And I've still got 15 books on my mp3 player, oops, make that 21, I downloaded 6 more today, and those 51 books on the dining room table that I bought last year and swear I'm going to read this year...pressure...not at all. HaHa! And I'm returning audios to another library tomorrow, and I'm almost afraid to think of what might happen...

Judy wrote: "I'm interested in what you think of Portuguese Irregular Verbs."I hope I like it, I really enjoy his No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series. I'm trying to hold off reading this until the toppler but I doubt I will.
I just picked up "The Best Way" by Bill Walker from my local library (in Dallas, TX). It's a hiking narrative about the pilgrimage called El Camino de Santiago (from France to Spain). It sounds really interesting! Here's the author's site - http://www.thebestwaycamino.com
I got Shelter because someone on GRs recommended it. I just love getting recommendations from other readers.

It's already on me TBR, Judy. Thanks. :)With too many books on my TBR, it's difficult to come across one that isn't. :P
Went to the library to return a book and picked upThe Hundred-Foot Journey: A Novel and The House I Loved.
I had to return a stack of books today so I went to pick up my holds from the library today I got these:

Yesterday I went to the library and picked these up : )
After devouring
I went back to the library to return it and picked up these:
I returned 5 books today - at the drive thru. I'm not allowed to go in a library until I make a dent in the 16 items I still have out :( It was hard, and I might have been shaking as I drove away (withdrawal pains?), but I made it one more day. It's really hard seeing all these wonderful books here. I just want to go to my library's website and put some books on hold :D
