Librarian help - Requests to add page numbers, publication year, Prize Worthy, etc.

Thanks....no..just realizing I don't read much poetry and this book might be a help to better appreciate it.... and hoping it fits in next season's tasks. I've had the book for probably 30 years...I should finally get around to reading it. I have two more books to finish by December 31 for other challenges....and I can then read at a more relaxed pace in January and February.... and also- Ulysses is on my Roulette plan.

I'm working on this, but the only copies I can find in google searches are softcover so I might not be able to fix it all. I'll let you know when I'm done.
Also, there is more than one edition here. GR puts the one most often used here as the main one, which I can't switch. Have you looked at all of the editions to see if yours is there?
ETA It's not in the Library of Congress, either, so that's no help.
#2 ETA It's in my library network, but is the 4th edition at 490 pages. I see why someone mistakenly added Seng as there are additional credits for Seng in that edition, but not as an author. I have removed Seng.
Okay, I didn't do many edits, just removed Seng from 2 places, one of which looks like it's your edition with 372 pages. The problem is that I see two different editions with the same publication date and due to pressing things this week cannot dig deeper into that since it's so difficult to find copies of this online. Here is what is most likely your edition or printing since it has the same number of pages--let me know if you need something else done here. At least it's the best I can come up with so far.
Poems: Wadsworth Handbook and Anthology
Hi..I don't know if anyone can help with this here...but I've been trying to shelve books from the 1001 Children's Books that you must read before you grow up list...and came across this one---The Biggest Kiss In The World – R Chavez Castaneda...but I can't find it on GR either under the title or author?
That's it...thanks...I don't know why it didn't come up when I did the author search.Another one that I couldn't find- Crispin – Avi (Edward Irving Wartis)
BTW.... the Children's List Group doesn't seem to have a librarian help section...so, thanks for the help here!

The author has his full name here and the title has a different translation. GR search has it's problems.
Looks like Bea found your Wartis title.
The MEP edition of The Shrike does not have a page count. I don't own the book, so I have no idea what it is, but the other edition (The Shrike) has 198 pages). Can I use this other edition for the AotD challenge? Also, both editions are missing the information that the play won the 1952 Pulitzer Award for Drama, can you add this, please?
Louise Bro wrote: "The MEP edition of The Shrike does not have a page count. I don't own the book, so I have no idea what it is, but the other edition (The Shrike) has 198 pages). Can I..."That edition has 86 pages per WorldCat. WorldCat is fairly reliable(though not 100%), and is what we use unless a member has the book in hand. However, award added.
The GR page for A Soldier's Play by Charles Fuller does not indicate that it won the Pulitzer for Drama in 1982.
Ed wrote: "The GR page for A Soldier's Play by Charles Fuller does not indicate that it won the Pulitzer for Drama in 1982."And here I thought the Pulitzer had all been done. Added!
(I'll have to make an effort to work on it and fill in the gaps.)

Luckily I had a backup, so the plan's still intact.
Considering They Knew What They Wanted by Sidney Howard and Craig's Wife by George A. Kelly which don't have page counts on GR...so, I don't know if they qualify. Also, I can't find Paul Green's In Abraham's Bosom published by itself...only with another play Field God & In Abraham's Bosom...so, what do I do for a page count there?
Ed wrote: "Considering They Knew What They Wanted by Sidney Howard and Craig's Wife by George A. Kelly which don't have page counts on GR...so, ..."Pages added for the Sidney Howard (179) and Kelly (126) plays, so they both have sufficient page length for you.
Are these for Awards of the Decade? A combo edition will not qualify because both titles would have to qualify for the single award and year. But I'll look at WorldCat and see if I can find a single title edition and add it. Will report back here if I can give a positive response.
Elizabeth (Alaska) wrote: "Ed wrote: "Considering They Knew What They Wanted by Sidney Howard and Craig's Wife by George A. Kelly which don't have page counts o..."Yes...considering them for Awards of the Decade.
I can find that Samuel French has a scanned edition of this, but page count and publication date are not included on their information page. I see there is a link to email them. If you want to do this, and get an answer, let me know and I'll add it to the database.http://www.samuelfrench.com/p/1993/in...
ok...I sent an email...but I also found this which indicates this edition has 151 pages http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/21799683...
Ed wrote: "ok...I sent an email...but I also found this which indicates this edition has 151 pages http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/21799683..."Excellent! Added edition and award.

(I didn't try the add book/author feature, these usually take some time to get indexed.)
If you're not too busy, could you add the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry 1952 to Literary Awards to Collected Poems by Marianne Moore? If not, that's completely fine as well :-)

Done. With Ed's requests, I can see that the Pulitzer isn't as complete as I'd thought. I'm slowly making my way to checking all years, and your addition to the process helps.

I'm glad it wasn't too much of a bother, Elizabeth, thanks!
For Awards of the Decade:Per this response in the help thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Could you add the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for 1987 to the GR home page of Fences ?
Here's the link to the awards past winners page:

Done. And thanks for the nudge on this, Nick. Ed's requests showed me a lot of work needs to be done on this, and I've been neglecting it!
I just noticed that one of my upcoming AotD reads...Strange Interlude by Eugene O'Neill doesn't show that it won the Pulitzer in 1928 in the notes (although it does mention it in the narrative.). Could you add that link as well?

I had been planning on reading A Necklace of Raindrops and Other Stories for 15.7..... and checked the page count which was 128.... but now is listed as 80 in the above edition. Am I out of luck on this one? Apparently the lower page count edition has become the most popular English edition.

I was looking at The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers for the 10.5 task "Always a Bridesmaid".On the Goodreads page for the book, it looks like she won the Kitschies for Golden Tentacles, but according to the below Wikipedia article, the novel was only a runner up:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitsc...
Can you correct the information, please?

Yes, it says it was a nominee.
A while back I ordered a copy of Eats Shoots & Leaves from my library.... what I got was the 32 page childrens' version. I read it and recorded it but want to read the adult version Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation. But I noticed that GR has both versions classified together so that is indicates that I have already read the 229 page book. Can this be fixed?

You might have copied/pasted for the ACG Plans. The Love's Work books is Book ID 759251, while the ID for Harry Potter collection is ID 7. Sometimes things get truncated.
This may seem like a minor thing, but as I noted in the completed tasks thread, C. Johnson is actually the co-author. Temple Grandin is the lead author.Animals Make Us Human: Creating the Best Life for Animals

Thanks - and not a minor thing. It was only the MPE that had the author wrong, but all's right now!
I see the page counts for The Return of the Soldier vary greatly with one being only 82 pages...but others nearly 200. Could you verify whether this qualifies for RwS please?

Are you thinking about Roulette? Poetry is in the non-fiction category.
