Alison Buck | 1299 comments Hi GL
I'm still chuckling at your post over on Morning!
"...You may have sussed my secret there so I might as well come clean. I am actually a multi-unit android assembly with high speed communications capabilities. I have multiple genuine people personalities. Gingerlily was generated specifically for on-line posing. I have a cyborg that can be sent out for use in people situations.. "

Have you thought of writing some millifiction for the Elsewhen website? Some of the other writers have been posting stuff there. I haven't yet but I mean to at some point. I just know yours would be brilliant ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I have thought about it but being very lazy have not actually done any yet.

message 316: by Alison (new)

Alison Buck | 1299 comments Let me know when you do, so I can pop over there and check it out ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Okay - but don't hold your breath.

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments Oh blimey, Morning? Elsewhen? Are these more sites I should attend as a diligent writer marketing my book? Please say no or I'll become a professional socialite and have no time left for writing.

Phnark.

MTM

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Elsewhen is our publisher (Alison's and mine). You can go and have a look if you want details of us and our wonderful fellow writers, but you don't need to market anything...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments If there is anyone who had ordered the paperback from Amazon and not heard back yet - please let me know by PM. Amazon have messed up the orders! We have worked out a way of getting it straight from the publishers and not charging you postage, but I have to set up each person a secret code. Oooh - its delightfully secret agentish!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ok, just for Karl, here is the first few paragraphs of my forthcoming epic - The Kitchen Wars.

It was late, the dead of night. Not a mouse was stirring in the Kitchen. None of them would dare. They knew. Very few of them were left by now. At the first ominous tinkling from the cutlery drawer they would find a hidey hole and stay as still as possible.
Tonight, however, there was more to worry about than maurading knives and forks. Tonight, the Washing Machine was stirring in his chains. That was a statement to strike fear into any observer. Also panic, horror and the paralysis that comes with sheer terror. The last time that the Washing Machine had gone on a rampage was etched into the memory of all the Kitchen inhabitants. Some of them still bore the scars, scratches and dents. The mental scars ran deeper, therefore everyone hunkered down and hoped that this was a false alarm. Maybe it was just a bad dream. Maybe…
Over in the corner sat the Microwave. Although he looked quiet and inofensive, that was only a cover for some very dark schemes. He had been plotting for a long time, and waiting for the right moment to arrive. Soon, very soon, there would be some changes in the Kitchen.

Aaaarrrggghh!

I'm gonna have nightmares now and be too scared to go into the kitchen at night...
