Sometimes it happens. How do authors know what to fix (if to fix at all) if the readers do not speak up?

Critical analyze is not a bad thing as long as it is constructive instead of condescending.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a shelf for books they couldn't finish, sometimes, they're just not worth it.

I have a DNF shelf and a started not finished shelf...one for those I truely can't finish and one for those where I got distracted but want to get back to them

What I find really odd is that as part of the GR recommendations, I get book recommendations based on books I added to the "couldn't finish" shelf. Quite a few of the books are ones I am interested in reading.

Makes you re think about wanting to read them. Yet you don't want to pass them up do to something like that. Puts u in a difficult boat don't you think.

you can tailor the shelves you want to get recommendations for - I did that when it launched - got rid of my DNF rec's; the ones for years I finished books etc - and stuck mostly with genre type rec's

Done with my 8 books. I'll see how many more I can get to before the end of the month.
I don't know how much to make as my goal. I'm going to read a lot of books written by people who died before GR, this month. So, I'm going to assume they're not GR authors. And a lot of authors who I'm pretty sure aren't on GR. I'll say 8 points?
