Haha!!! I bet! I remember I tried to do it last year and I even checked out Salem's Lot from the library... or maybe I bought it? Anyway, I got too scared just thinking about reading it!

Remember Richard Ramirez, "The Night Stalker?" It was about 30 years ago or so that he was on the loose. I was terrified because my daughter was still little and I barely slept worrying that he'd break into my apartment and hurt her.

I think some murderers/psychopaths are possessed, but some are just evil. Probably a few are mentally ill and really don't have control over their actions.

I need a recommendation whose theme is "second chance at love." I mean the type of 2nd chance between two people who once had it and lost it - only to find it again. I'm not big on this theme; I figure, once it's over, man-oh-man, it's OVER.
Also, any recs will need to be available at my library, as I'm not buying it, LOL! (pun intended)
Thanks!!

I have 11, 9 that I've read for sure. Give them a look and see if there's anything that interests you, if you like.

October's Build Your Own Challenge
Duration - October 1st - October 31st.
Ahhh, yes. A new month, a new challenge - and I almost forgot about it! Thank you, Lethal, for the reminder!!!
So here we go: If you’ve done this before, and many of you have, you know the drill. If not, here’s how it works –
The challenges in this group are designed to be not very challenging, hence the title, Not Too Challenging Challenges. That means that you get to design the challenge around the books you want to read and the only requirement is that the books somehow remind you of October.
Some ideas might be –
**Books that are published in October.
**Stories that have something to do with Fall, Halloween, Columbus Day, etc.
Some October Holidays and Observances -
* Adopt a Shelter Dog Month
* American Pharmacist Month
* Apple Jack Month
* Awareness Month
* Breast Cancer Awareness Month
* Clergy Appreciation Month
* Computer Learning Month
* Cookie Month
* Domestic Violence Awareness Month
* Eat Country Ham Month
* International Drum Month
* Lupus Awareness Month
* National Diabetes Month
* National Pizza Month
* National Vegetarian Month
* National Popcorn Popping Month
* Sarcastic Month
* Seafood Month
Also -
Some Weekly Celebrations:
* Week 1 Get Organized Week
* Week 1 Customer Service Week
* Week 2 Fire Prevention Week
* Week 2 Pet Peeve Week
* Week 3 Pastoral Care Week
So you see, with a little imagination it’s very easy to find books that will work in these challenges! If you have no imagination at all, copy someone else's challenge!!
The only restriction is that you can’t begin reading for this challenge until October 1st, and you must be finished on or before October 31st.
Please list your stats at the top of the page so I can easily spot them and update them.
