I just didn't like the direction SM took with the book-- it really has nothing to do with the actual child.

What is with you and these ridiculous lists? Is this one just as entertaining as the "100 Reasons Why You Hate Twilight List". We get it. You don't like the series. You're "beating a dead horse" on this list crap because nobody cares about your lists. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If she doesn't like Renesmee because of Team Jacob that's her opinion whether you agree or not. Considering I read your last list, you hate Twilight for some seriously stupid reasons, but those are your opininons. Assuming you're not 14(like how you seem to act), it would be nice if you could act a little more mature.

Agree, no need for those '100 Reasons Why stuff' I personally didn't like the book as much as I enjoyed the first but there's no need to get all pissed as if something like this (pregnant by vampire, new baby stuff) happened to your close friend :/
I don't hate her, but I don't like that Jacob imprinted with her. But I guess that gave the book a happy ending.

its kinda a creppy .@Joanne i totaly agree with you it just plain creepy. in sam uley theory, he believe imprinting is to pass on the wolf gene. and again the imprintoor can be anything, a brother, a bestfriend, and most likly a lover. wouldent it be werird to kiss the girl who you once changed dipers . gross .
i belive imprinting is taking away your freedom i mean you dont just go from imma kill her to shes my soul mate.if it werent for impriting renesme would be dead and possibly if nessi lived jacob would probely hate her to the core . imprinting is block jacobs real emoshions etc etc you guys are so lucky we dont get breacking dawn part 1 in 2 months :(

It made me so sad when they centered the book around the baby and the marrige.... what happened to the Edward/Bella/Jacob thing? But I really do love this series.
Didn't anyone find the birth of Renesmee a bit conserning? It was the creepiest thing I've ever read! The little monster basically ate Balla from the inside. The most disgusting scene of all was crushing her spine with its little monster teeth. And then all of a sudden everyone adores the little monster baby. That was difficult to digest.The Jacob imprint looks normal in comparison. I fairly liked the series up until Breaking Dawn.
Well ... it's not like I hate her, but I really can't stand her. She's just too perfect. Nearly everbody adores her and that's something I hate. Generally, I don't like too perfect characters. I love these human things,these faults the characters have. I think, these things just make them really adorable.
i think that sm could be a little less descriptive on the Gross parts and not put renesmee in there i think it would have been more interesting if jacob and bella ended up together

Thing about major series is everyone wants to analyse it WAY TOO MUCH... Including myself. But this is what Stephanie wanted and the direction she said she was always going to take them in. It wouldve been cool however to see Jacob alone and the wolf pack attack as well as the volturi and see how they survive then? Maybe we might see an actual fight in BD2.

Excuse me but I absolutely adore Renesmee. Bella only just made it through the pregnancy. What if Bella died Renesmee would have never known her mother!!
She's not a little kid, she's a character in a novel, and therefore, perfectly hateable. That is why she's awful. Even the name is awful. Renesme. Ugh. I thought that Breaking Dawn was pretty awful in general, though. I agree, however, with the person who said that at least she drew the focus away from the whole Jacob/Edward debate.

I think i just hate her because Jacob imprinted on her and that just messed me up. I felt bad for Jacob even if HE didn't feel bad. Honestly, he gets stuck with Bella's daughter. That is weird. It just bugged me. but, the book was still great... though maybe not my favourite.

It would be creepy between Jacob and Renesmee, but he doesn't age much, and she ages rapidly, he said he would wait on her. It's not going to be like eloping at age 17 with them, it's going to be a mature relationship, just like any other, but with a bit of a shapeshifter/dhampir spin on it. It would be an interesting spinoff, if she writes it.

Renesme was nothing more than a plot point. Rather than allowing Edward to change his mindset naturally, Stephenie had to use a baby to force him into changing Bella. Stephenie couldn't bare to let Jacob and Bella cut ties, so she has Jacob imprint on Bella's daughter. Not only did it allow Jacob and Bella to be friends again, (Jacob was never in love with her in the first place, so it's okay. lolz) it also relieved Bella from her guilt (for choosing Edward over him). In the end, Bella gets the best of both worlds. She gets to live happily with Edward and stay friends with Jacob. Breaking Dawn tied up everything perfectly...and that's why I have an issue with it.
I LOVE RENESME!If you were really Team Jacob you'd be happy he found his true love (even if he's older than her I mean Edward is like 100 years older than Bella but they're still cute)She is so cute and she is good! She has control and is half human! She just wraps the story up well. Bella is with Edward and to make it final they have a baby and are married. And now Rosalie, Esme, & Alice can take care of a child too.Also Jacob won't be in love struck pain and torment over Bella anymore because now he has Renesme, so he and Bella can still be friends, plus him and Edward actually don't hate eachother anymore! It also causes a better relationship between the wolve pack(s) and the Cullens. (Finally)
I was initially going to post to agree with everyone who said they hate the name Renesmee... Then I got to thinking, (it's been a few years now since I've read the books) that regardless of how I actually feel about the baby (I'm not so fond of her either), but she was what gave Bella what she wanted most, to become a vampire. I was surprised that no one else said that, until just a little ago when Brittany brought it up. Edward wanted to be with Bella, but never wanted to put her through what he went through. He didn't want to turn her into a "monster" like he thought he was. But then he was faced with a choice, let her die, or change her. So that certainly made the choice a little easier to make. So because of Renesmee, Edward and Bella can really be together forever. And about the imprinting... I get it, it's not sexual... it's not supposed to be creepy.. but you have to admit, it is a little difficult to wrap your mind around Jacob already knowing that this is who he's going to be in love with. But again, I understand why it was written into the story like that. Everyone gets their happy ending. Doesn't mean you have to like the way in which it happens though, right?

At the same time though, she allows Jacob to become a part of Bella's life untimatley making him and Edward HAVE to get along whether they like it on not.Plus without a child, Breaking Dawn would just be a confusing love triangle and somwaht boring. And the whole series of Twilight IS Sci-Fi with or without Renesme.

Meyer just doesn't want all the "Team Jacob" People to hate her for giving Jacob an Unhappy ending, everything just HAS to end all "Happy-Happy Joy-Joy".

A Dhampir, for those wondering, is the cross between a vampire and human. They are supposed to be excellent vampire hunters. It originates from Balkan folklore.
I don't hate Renesmee, btw. But I like fantasy. For me, it made Jacob's attraction to Bella actually make sense.

Firstly i dont hate Renesmee,but i think the book just was ruined with her. Usually i read books as many times as i feel like (which is often alott of times) ,but anyway, I read Breakingdawn once. Which almost nerver happens. It kinda made me sad because i loved the other books so much.. well until the movies started coming out :L .. Oh and i NEver Liked Jacob.
I don't really have an opinion about her. She's just okay. But I did think she was unnessesary...

She knew so she made sure there were plenty of characters in the story who didn't like the name either. They thought it was stupid...but it was one of Bella's wierd decisions (she's good at making those as you know) it's what she wanted. I think it works.
And I can't really see either how anyone would think the Jacob/Nessie thing would be sick. Some people just have a hard time understanding what Imprinting is...he won't think about sex with her at all...just make sure she's happy and safe like a protective caring family member does...then when she gets older things will change.
