46. At this stage, do you think Emma is resisting Lachlain for herself, as a power play, or because she doesn’t want to disappoint her aunts?
I think she is truly torn. I don’t think she is playing games.
47. Were you surprised at Emma’s boldness and the lengths (pun intended!) she’d go to, to escape?
I just loved her escape, LOL! She is a clever lady.
48. At the beginning of chapter 26, Emma starts hearing voices in her head. What did you think that was?
I think it was a bit of Lachlain’s “Instinct” rubbing off on her.
49. OMG, was that scene in the forest HOT or too rough? Was this how you thought it would first happen?
It was H.O.T. I just loved it.
50. They’re finally talking! About family, and histories and revenge and living together. For me, this adds as much intimacy to the budding relationship as the scene in the forest, if not more. What about you?
I concur. It makes a deeper story for me.
51. Why has Emma still not told Lachlain about her seeing his memories?
I think she doesn’t want him to be upset about it.

52. What do you think of Kristoff “making” his army? Is he going to be a good guy or a bad guy?
53. Isn’t that a great line: My heart lies vulnerable outside my chest. Did it make you a little sad that Lachlain was sad they couldn’t have bairns.
54. Ah! The aunts have made it to Kinevane Castle. What was your favorite quote?
55. Emma figured out who her father is. Did this surprise you? How about that she agreed to go with the vamp?
56. So Annika has Garreth and wants to exchange him for Emma. Think Lachlain will go for that? Especially since he has now figured out who Emma’s father is also?
57. Pretty smart of Ivo to want Emma for his bride, right? Makes perfect sense, now that the pieces fall into place. Comments.
58. Impressions of Demestriu. His story about Helen and him. That he was toying with Emma.
59. Were you surprised that Demestriu told her how to kill him? That was pretty gruesome, right? Too much for you?
60. Did you think Ivo was a tad infatuated, or just laying it on thick in an attempt to woo her?
61. Well, she learned out to trace just in time. Were you surprised she went to the bayou; why did she feel she couldn’t go to Lachlain? And Lachlain is down for the count. Are you enjoying the suspense?

53. Isn’t that a great line: My heart lies vulnerable outside my chest. Did it make you a little sad that Lachlain was sad they couldn’t have bairns. Gah yes. That was a perfect line. Yes, it mad me sad for him cause it's obvious that he wanted children.
54. Ah! The aunts have made it to Kinevane Castle. What was your favorite quote? I'll have to come back and answer this once I look back in the book...I'm at work :)
55. Emma figured out who her father is. Did this surprise you? How about that she agreed to go with the vamp? It didn't really shock me that he was her dad. There was enough hinting about it. I was surprised that she agreed to go to him. Her thought of getting revenge for Lachlain just solidified her love of him for me though.
56. So Annika has Garreth and wants to exchange him for Emma. Think Lachlain will go for that? Especially since he has now figured out who Emma’s father is also? No. I don't think he will go for it. Yes, Garreth is his brother, but Emma is his mate.
57. Pretty smart of Ivo to want Emma for his bride, right? Makes perfect sense, now that the pieces fall into place. Comments. Ivo is one sneaky guy. He knew exactly what he needed to do to get control.Too bad it didn't work for him.
58. Impressions of Demestriu. His story about Helen and him. That he was toying with Emma. I think he was toying with Emma. However, I do think that he cared for Helen...just something about the way he looked.
59. Were you surprised that Demestriu told her how to kill him? That was pretty gruesome, right? Too much for you? It was gruesome. But, I'm not really surprised, especially after learning that she got Lachlain's memories from drinking from him and knowing that he's got millions of memories from thousands of people. It would probably be very daunting to have that all the time.
60. Did you think Ivo was a tad infatuated, or just laying it on thick in an attempt to woo her? I think he was laying it on thick.
61. Well, she learned out to trace just in time. Were you surprised she went to the bayou; why did she feel she couldn’t go to Lachlain? And Lachlain is down for the count. Are you enjoying the suspense? I was surprised she went to the bayou. But I think she realized Lachlain would come for her. And yes, I enjoyed the suspense so much I kept reading LOL

I really thought Kristoff was going to be her father, maybe just because I was really hoping it wasn't Demestriu. I guess because of my earlier hopes toward Kristoff I've already put him in the role of "good guy" in my mind. It'll be interesting to see that character develop.
53. Isn’t that a great line: My heart lies vulnerable outside my chest. Did it make you a little sad that Lachlain was sad they couldn’t have bairns.
I think he was a little upset, but was easily consoled by the thought of being able to keep Emma to himself. I still think someday they'll decide to have them.
54. Ah! The aunts have made it to Kinevane Castle. What was your favorite quote?
Loved that part! The humor in their personalities really came out. Several favorite line "Pilates" after kicking down the door... "I prefer predeterminationally abled..." I really like Nix!
55. Emma figured out who her father is. Did this surprise you? How about that she agreed to go with the vamp?
I was surprised/saddened by who her father was, and unsure of why she went with the vamp at first. But once i realized her purpose I thought "Good for her!"
56. So Annika has Garreth and wants to exchange him for Emma. Think Lachlain will go for that? Especially since he has now figured out who Emma’s father is also?
Lachlain will never give up Emma for anything, even his brother, regardless of who her father is. I never doubted that at this point in the book.
57. Pretty smart of Ivo to want Emma for his bride, right? Makes perfect sense, now that the pieces fall into place. Comments.
Definitely made sense, and thought it was funny when Emma said "I get that a lot" when Ivo said he wanted her for his Queen.
58. Impressions of Demestriu. His story about Helen and him. That he was toying with Emma.
He must have had a good side at some point, to have had a relationship with her mother, and I think that came out in the end.
59. Were you surprised that Demestriu told her how to kill him? That was pretty gruesome, right? Too much for you?
I liked that he told her. It was very a much a "darth vader scene" like Emma said. The descriptions weren't too graphic so it wasn't too much for me.
60. Did you think Ivo was a tad infatuated, or just laying it on thick in an attempt to woo her?
He only wanted power not Emma.
61. Well, she learned out to trace just in time. Were you surprised she went to the bayou; why did she feel she couldn’t go to Lachlain? And Lachlain is down for the count. Are you enjoying the suspense?
I was surprised she went to the bayou, glad she figured out how to trace in time. But the explanation as to why she went there made perfect sense and satisfied me.

#52 – Yes! Kristoff is a mystery.
#55 – I think KC did a nice lead up to the reveal of Emma’s father. Gave me enough hints so that I felt somewhat smart and still enough of a shock and wonder over what she would do about the way he treated Lachlain.
#58 – Yes, Demestriu had several emotions going on there are the end. Indifference, melancholy, arrogance, pride, and insanity. Just to name a few. You’re right; it would be daunting to have all those memories.
#60 – LOL! Me too!

#52 – I think I wondered if Kristoff was going to be Emma’s father too, the first time I read the book.
#53 – Yes, “Pilates” was pretty funny. Nix is great. She has so many wonderful lines in the series.
#55 – I was totally surprised she when with the vamp! Worried for her too, but I saw her reasoning.
#57 – Yes, I like the way KC just slides lines like, “I get that a lot,” right into the story. Funny, yet perfectly placed so as to not slow the story down. And believable, given what Emma had been through; I don’t think it made her sound vain at all.
#58 – I agree. At some point he must have let his good side through.
#59 – I like that reference: “Darth Vader scene.”

62. What did you think of the glimpse we got of Myst and Wroth’s relationship now?
63. Why does no-one believe where Emma has been? Why do they assume she’s delirious?
64. Is Lothaire a good guy or bad guy?
65. Were you surprised that Garreth was loyal as soon as he saw Emma?
66. Did you think all the loose ends were tied up nicely? What about the ending would you have changed if you could?
67. Will you continue with the series?
Ladies, thanks, I hope you enjoyed this buddy-read as much as I did!

63. Why does no-one believe where Emma has been? Why do they assume she’s delirious? I'm figuring they just can't believe fragile little Emma would be capable of doing what she claims. They probably figure she's hurt and doesn't have a clue what she's talking about.
64. Is Lothaire a good guy or bad guy? I don't know. I wonder how much we see of him in the rest of the series.
65. Were you surprised that Garreth was loyal as soon as he saw Emma? No, not at all. She's his queen and his brother's mate. It makes sense that he'd be loyal to her.
66. Did you think all the loose ends were tied up nicely? What about the ending would you have changed if you could? I think the loose ends for Lachlain and Emma were tied up nicely. There was enough questions left to continue the series. I don't know that I'd change anything, provided we get some glimpses of them in the future books. I'd like to know where they're going to live. How Cassandra and the Elders will take to her. Will they have children.
67. Will you continue with the series? Yes, I have the next 7 books on my shelf already (Thanks to Ebay LOL) I will probably throw them into my reading and not read them back to back. I tend to get tired of reading about the same world for too long a time so I'll put it aside and go back later (that's why I still have 1 Black Dagger Brotherhood book left to read)

Well I didn't read the first book, so I wasn't already familiar with Myst and Wroth's relationship. But when I figured out that there had been one, and throughout this book they kept making it sound like it was over I thought to myself that I wouldn't want to read the first one if they don't stay together. Well obviously they do, because they are together at the end and "out of the closet" with it, so to speak. Perhaps they were secretly together all along and there was another storyline happening parallel to this one that we were unaware of in this book. Either way I liked Wroth from the little I saw of him at the end, and glad they are together.
63. Why does no-one believe where Emma has been? Why do they assume she’s delirious?
The Aunts don't realize the changes she's been through. She's a new Emma now, but they don't know that yet. I love their reactions when they start to see her strength.
64. Is Lothaire a good guy or bad guy?
I don't know! He's not very present in this book. But didn't they say he was the one who tricked and imprisoned Furie? Wouldn't that make him a bad guy? But he didn't do anything directly bad in this book, so he's a mystery to me.
65. Were you surprised that Garreth was loyal as soon as he saw Emma?
No. She was marked, and he'd already accepted that Lachlain loved her, so I wasn't surprised by his loyatly.
66. Did you think all the loose ends were tied up nicely? What about the ending would you have changed if you could?
I was happy with the ending. I didn't feel like there were too many unanswered questions that would bug me. I did feel a happy closure at the end. But could also apppreciate how many other stories could build from this one.
67. Will you continue with the series?
Perhaps. I enjoyed this book, but have more interest in another series right now and have gone back to that one for the moment. I may come back around to this one another time.

62. What did you think of the glimpse we got of Myst and Wroth’s relationship now?
When I read this book the first time I had not finished The Warlord Wants Forever, so I wasn’t really invested in their story. However, I found it reassuring for Emma and Lachlain that he was a vamp and Annika was willing to accept him.
63. Why does no-one believe where Emma has been? Why do they assume she’s delirious?
We’ve see the gradual change in Emma, for her family it is too abrupt. Loved her name and info in the book; that was great.
64. Is Lothaire a good guy or bad guy?
Well, he is getting his own book, eagerly anticipated for January, 2012. He definitely has his fans. I love how KC han get readers to change their minds. No an easy feat, in my case. We’ll see.
65. Were you surprised that Garreth was loyal as soon as he saw Emma?
Nope. He has his own romance with a Valkyrie to work out, LOL!
66. Did you think all the loose ends were tied up nicely? What about the ending would you have changed if you could?
Everything was tied up nicely for me. Loved this book, obviously, since I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve read it. I wouldn’t change a thing.
67. Will you continue with the series?
Yes. Would love to do so with you ladies; just let me know when you are in the mood. It has been a while since I’ve read book #2.

#62 – He’s a vamp.
#63 – Yes. They figured she was delirious.
#64 – More as the series progresses. If I re-read these with you, it will be interesting to see where his name pops up.
#66 – I want to know if they have kids too! ☺
#67 – I used to read a series BtB a lot and got burned out few time, so I understand this. Thank goodness for eBay!

#63 – Great way to put it – the aunts don’t know what she’s been through.
#64 – Oh, there is big speculation about Furie’s whereabouts as the books continue. Some think Lothaire has her or knows where she is. Some readers think she is his mate; others disagree strongly. Some readers find his wildly attractive, others not so much. It is all very interesting.
#65 – Yeah, the mark was pretty obvious. LOL!

63. Why does no-one believe where Emma has been? Why do they assume she’s delirious? I thought this just showed how far she'd come, how different she was now.
64. Is Lothaire a good guy or bad guy? I'm not sure. I thought he was a good guy, but now I'm wondering if he was just wanting Demestriu dead.
65. Were you surprised that Garreth was loyal as soon as he saw Emma? Very. He was so accepting, but then I thought it was probably an extension of the loyalty he gave his brother.
66. Did you think all the loose ends were tied up nicely? What about the ending would you have changed if you could? I liked the way it turned out. But I didn't think we really saw how life would be for her among the Lykaens, if they would accept her.
67. Will you continue with the series? Definitely!
