This is more like 3.5 stars. I LOVED the way Emmaline's character changed and grew during this book. She started off as an unsure, weak half Vampire, half Valkyrie and ended the story a strong Queen to the Lykae. Her strength surprised even herself in this book.

Once Emma and Lachlain finally ended up together, I liked how we got to see them talking and not just sexing. Did I like the sexing? Of course, otherwise I wouldn't read books like this. But it was nice to see that he was letting her into his whole life and not just his bed, the way a true mate should be.
