please separate the triple barrelled quote tag into three separate tags on this quote. Adding a tag of Faith would be good, too. Thanks

Please do not add personal quotes. Quotes must be from notable people.

message 211: by Omar (new)

Omar Adel (omaradel) so what if i am an author & i wanted to add qoutes for myself...is that possible

message 212: by rivka, Former Moderator (new)

rivka | 45177 comments Mod
Author of what book?

message 213: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments it should be. Just be sure and cite your book and be sure that the quote is properly attributed.

message 214: by Omar (new)

Omar Adel (omaradel) the book is not on the site here

message 215: by rivka, Former Moderator (new)

rivka | 45177 comments Mod
The first step would be to add the book, then.

message 216: by Omar (new)

Omar Adel (omaradel) so how i can add the book?

message 217: by rivka, Former Moderator (new)

rivka | 45177 comments Mod
If you link to it somewhere like a publisher site, someone can create it for you.

Looks like someone already handled this.

Not sure what you mean Melody. None of these quotes bear the tag "simile"

The most liked quote to currently bear the tag is
http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/show/...

Am I missing something?

Nope. You're not missing anything. For some reason I thought your post said to REMOVE the tags. So it still needs to be done. I have to pass on it though. I'm involved with another project. Sorry for my mistake.

Could a super add the quote tag "ataraxy" to this quote?

message 225: by rivka, Former Moderator (new)

rivka | 45177 comments Mod
Do we really need a tag that is a word few users will have heard of?

message 226: by Stephen (last edited Mar 07, 2012 08:02PM) (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments Perhaps we do. It's actually a great if underused word and the quote in question pretty much sums up the concept.

Putting that tag on that quote may well encourage folks to check out similar quotes about the concept.

message 227: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/show/...

Please change the quote tag on this quote from thailia to thalia. You might consider adding quote tags of allure and/or sex appeal as well, Thanks.

message 228: by Melody (new)

Melody (runningtune) | 13300 comments So are tags something that a regular librarian can't do?

message 229: by Stephen (last edited Mar 08, 2012 06:15AM) (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments Regular librarian can edit tags on all quotes up to 500 likes. Over that, super librarians must do it.

message 230: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/show/...

please delete the quote tag "suess" or correct the spelling

I don't have the book to check but I'm hoping the author wrote "you're beautiful" instead of "your beautiful" :s

Though consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, this is the only Winston churchill quote that bears the tag "Winston" perhaps it should be deleted.

Can you correct the attribution on this quote from Robin Williams to Robin P. Williams? Thanks in advance!

message 247: by Paula (new)

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Done

message 248: by Banjomike (new)

Banjomike | 5166 comments What is the source of the quote? Robin P. Williams writes computer manuals and Google has 8 links to her as the originator (including 3 on Goodreads) and 373,000 to the other Robin Williams. Just curious.

message 249: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments I'm NOT entirely sure. If you look at the quotes attributed to Robin P. Williams, they do all seem to be in the same vein. The quote that I asked be re-attributed was a duplicate of another instance of the same quote.

I figured that whether or not attribution is right or wrong, it's better to consolidate the two.

message 250: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (havan) | 330 comments http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/show/...
please change the quote tag on this to "men and women"
the existing tag, "women men" is used on no other quotes. Additional tags of "gender stereotypes" & "faces" would be good too.

Thanks!
