Not much of a Cloaked fan. Will make a review soon. I still prefer A Kiss In Time. I'll read Shatter Me next since everyone's gushing over that one. :)

Ok Emily there is more to Fifty then meets the eye...if you are game read on because all the reason's you seek will divulge themselves in book 2 and 3 ... there are things in his past that make him totally f&%ked up and he warned Ana from the beginning of who he is and what he's requirements are..he is not for everyone that's for sure...but there is more to him than his DOM role he is a little boy lost and hurt from the wrongs that were done to him as a child and was going so downhill during his teenage years it took one person to take advantage of his weakness and f&%k him up some more...it is about control and order for him because he's whole life was complete chaos and tragedy ... (before he "discovered" being a Dom and before that he was a submissive for years)! So you might think yeah it's creepy that a woman in this day and age would succumb to those rules and stipulations but so did he before he became a dom...but fifty will certainly NOT I REPEAT, NOT be everyone's idea of the perfect man, but he sure as hell is very entertaining...MY ADVISE TO YOU IS TO READ ON and you might be delighted to discover these things for yourself OR completely hate it...LOL just a small explanation that may sway you to keep reading BUT HE IS TOTALLY F&%KED THAT...he even says it to Ana "I'm fifty shades of F&%KED up" ...

I'm not so into the whole punishment, but so many things about him are very appealing. I can see why he is like that. Like Heinzy said the things from his past have totally messed him up and shaped him into the person we see now.

From the moment he meets Ana you can see the cracks forming in the wall he has built up.

It's going to be interesting to see what the next books bring.

Rampant (Killer Unicorns, #1) by Diana Peterfreund sounds bizarre. Is it good?"

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to finish it. It's so weird! I mean, venomous unicorns with fangs?? really? I'm on about chapter 6 and the main character is a 16 year old girl with a crazy mom who believes that their family ancestors hunted unicorns. And unicorns aren't what fairy tales make them out.

So of course the teen finds a unicorn and her mother is all ecstatic and is now going to ship her off to Italy to learn to train as a Unicorn Hunter. *rolls eyes*

Mind you, this was a purchase of my 14 year old daughter, but once I read the first chapter talking about giving bj's and other sexual encounters I quickly extracted that book from her 'to read' shelf. So now I'm trying to read it. And I never read the synopsis of it. I suppose I should have done that.

Oh don't worry it's not enough to scare little me away
Duh I'm going to keep it up... there this a little part of called "curiosity" and there are reasons I said I don't hate it. I feel bad for Fifty. I pity his messed up life. I just don't want his brainwashed ideas to brainwash Ana. I know she'll have to go deep into the sh*t in his life to get to his heart, I just don't want her to get lost on the way...

Very well said Sylvia!!! You just gotta keep reading because the plot gets sooo much deeper! The fact that there were so many obstacles for them to overcome made it all the more interesting for me. Ana was such a strong young woman who even though Christian was totally screwed up, she helped him sort through his issues. The love that they discovered together was awesome!!!
