♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished The Journey of the Marked by Rebecca P. McCray , was really good. i ended up rating it 4 stars.

i was feeling in a bit of a reading slump, i was looking at books kind of wanting to read them but not really feeling like it, anyways i finally decided to pick up Spirit Gate (Crossroads, #1) by Kate Elliott which has been sitting on my shelf for quiet a while now. im about 26 pages in.... so far im not super impressed, but i'll continue reading. maybe it'll pick up

OH HECK! Now I'm jumping up and down Paula LMAO! Good thing I plan on reading With You by Nashoda Rose Torn from You (Tear Asunder) by Nashoda Rose this upcoming month and want to get to them so badly. All of the family visits and holiday scampering has put a severe dent into my reading time. Hopefully I can remedy this in January and get back into my reading zone.

Yep, you'll like book 3 of the Demonica series Danielle. And you totally nailed it as far as his character's personality. Book 3 is really good :)

And I haven't read Forbidden yet, plan on reading it soonish though, but it's not anything like CitD. Quite different stories but both tearjerkers. Maybe Forbidden is even more of a heart crusher though from what I've read about it.

Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts isn't similar to Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma . Way different.

Captive in the Dark is more like Fifty Shades in a.... higher level.

They are both dark, but in very different ways. I haven't ready Forbidden but I know the premise of it; you don't need to worry about the same emotions being tapped with Captive, but it's a very heavy read on the psyche (or it was for most of us). CITD and SITD are my absolute favorite dark erotica stories, they are incredibly unsettling and absolutely will reach you on a new level. Probably not something to start when you're already a puddle of mush from Forbidden, but I highly recommend the Dark Duet series!

I read 13 Reasons Why Annie and it took my breath away at times. Not so much the writing itself but the story. This is happening more and more with teenagers and we have to find a way to get to them before it does. My family just went through something similar this year and it's devastating for everyone involved.

She is naked on the cover not because there is lots of sex, but because she is treated inhumanely and not allowed to wear clothes. There has actually been no sex so far. Although there is lots of touching it is usually against her will. Things are getting better for her, not because this is a romance, but because it is somewhat like Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas .
