Ok...hmmm I guess I'll have to check it out when I'm looking for something emotional eh? Which isn't this week lol. Thanks.

Oh Paula now you really have me salivating to get my hands on it LOL!!!

OH HECK! Now I'm jumping up and down Paula LMAO! Good thing I plan on reading

I HATED the book. Glad you liked it though."
Yup Danielle, ditto for me :(

Yep, you'll like book 3 of the Demonica series Danielle. And you totally nailed it as far as his character's personality. Book 3 is really good :)
And I haven't read Forbidden yet, plan on reading it soonish though, but it's not anything like CitD. Quite different stories but both tearjerkers. Maybe Forbidden is even more of a heart crusher though from what I've read about it.

Fantastic Esther :) let us know if you're looking for something in particular and we'll post suggest some options. This group is full of awesomeness!

I feel you Laura. I keep staring at my ever growing mountain LOL!

Captive in the Dark is more like Fifty Shades in a.... higher level.

Hmmm.. you know Annie, with this book I find that some readers love it and others hate it. Glad you liked it. I didn't really like it. Maybe it's just I don't like suicide stories I guess.

WHAT????? Belkis? You hated it? Awwww, I'm so sad. I loved it so much. A definite favorite. Sorry you didn't like it, but we can't all like them all.

I need others like it. I'm definitely making my daughter read it when she hits middle school. It's on a must read list for my kids to learn and gain something from.

Yeah, I know this one's going to be crushing, and I skimmed a few friend reviews that pretty much all opened with sobs. LOL I'm just dreading "the moment", when we find out what happened to cause her condition!! I'll let you know how painful it is. ;-)

They are both dark, but in very different ways. I haven't ready Forbidden but I know the premise of it; you don't need to worry about the same emotions being tapped with Captive, but it's a very heavy read on the psyche (or it was for most of us). CITD and SITD are my absolute favorite dark erotica stories, they are incredibly unsettling and absolutely will reach you on a new level. Probably not something to start when you're already a puddle of mush from Forbidden, but I highly recommend the Dark Duet series!

So true my friend :) different strokes and all that LOL! Glad you enjoyed though.

That's exactly the event that I KNOW will crush our hearts ;'( and I can't even imagine the kind of guilt that Tristan has to live with....

And the spinoff series from Demonica, Lords Of Deliverance, is just as good! I need to hurry up and get back into them so I can get to read

You mean with a certain overall message or just suicide stories Annie? Have you read these?

Oh my Rebecca loving the cover :) if that's any indication of what's inside then I'll probably end up adding it to my TBR. Keep us posted on it darling.

I mean with a powerful message, overall. Like TRW, I felt the story so profound. Such an important message on how we treat others and how everything we do or say to others, matters. I want something that will make me think and most of all, feel.

I hear you hun. I'll check and let you know if I find any good ones :)

I'm here to please Belkis. ;)

I am half-way through Raw now and not sure if I want to punch the male character in the throat or tear his clothes off. The book is insane and intense. Love it.

I read 13 Reasons Why Annie and it took my breath away at times. Not so much the writing itself but the story. This is happening more and more with teenagers and we have to find a way to get to them before it does. My family just went through something similar this year and it's devastating for everyone involved.

She is naked on the cover not because there is lots of sex, but because she is treated inhumanely and not allowed to wear clothes. There has actually been no sex so far. Although there is lots of touching it is usually against her will. Things are getting better for her, not because this is a romance, but because it is somewhat like

I've already gotten a ton of great reading suggestions from seeing what everyone else is reading. :)

You know Rebecca, as soon as I saw the bookcover for Comfort Food it reminded me that I still have not read this one either. Need to get to so many good ones. Thanks for the comparison, it was perfect.

That's so great Esther. We have a nicely diversified reading group. We have so much fun reading, sharing, and discussing lots of different and interesting books.

Oh Tracy, I'm so sorry. That's so terribly heartbreaking.

Hahahaha oh Paula, LOVE it! We love being tortured by intense characters.

Oh sweetie of course you are :) you mean for book recommendations and reading suggestions? You always find great ones to share with all of us LOL! But I'll certainly let you know of anything noteworthy I come across. Have you read

I just felt like the reasons were ok, but we never really saw much emotion about it, we didn't see what happened after the aftermath which is what I wanted. The reactions. I think I mentioned that in my review lol.

Ok so is

Yea I read all three for CitD so that's why I was wondering lol. Thanks

Yeah, I did mention that I wanted more of the aftermath too. After he goes back to school and with the other kids that were involved. That was one thing I did wish we got more of.

Ok so is

The 10th book is up for giveaway. I entered.
Speaking of which I won my first book from over there!! Now I need to get book 1 of the series since I won book 2! I won

Oh Tracy, I'm sorry. It does happen a lot more these days. A kid in elementary school took his life in the bathroom. He was in 5th grade and he hung himself. The nurse found him and it was just devastating for everyone at school and in town. We don't realize the magnitude of suicide has on people until it's too late. :(

Ok so is

Oh Danielle have you read

Congratulations Danielle! Way to go :)

Oh LOVE the Fever series Harshini. Hope you're enjoying it. Can't wait for the release of
