I just don't know if I can. I read a few reviews, and it's making me nervous about the whole series at this point. This was one of those series for me where I NEED things to go a certain way. Yeah, I love Warner (hellooo, he's delish), but between the past pain she and Adam shared and what he does and becomes in order to save her, it would just be wrong on so many levels if he ends up losing her to the (let's face it) psycho-obsessive hottie. Nothing really compares to what they had in my opinion, but that hasn't stopped authors from shattering a love story in the past so...we'll see!

Finishing up a couple novella blog reviews before I get to my must-reads. Kiss Me at Midnight by Diane Alberts and Beg Me to Slay by Lisa Kessler were both really good, definitely a quick sexy/sweet read if you need a break from the contemporary drama. One Night in Santiago by Audra North was okay; fell more into the typical insta-lust you get with some novellas but I still enjoyed it.

Next up for me are Trust in Me (Wait for You, #1.5) by J. Lynn , Ashes to Ashes (Experiment in Terror, #8) by Karina Halle , and Have Gown, Will Wed by Killian McRae

I agree, Erin! If Adam ends up getting the shaft, I'm gonna go apeshit on someone! Yeah, yeah Warner is hot and swoony...blah blah blah. But in my head, Adam's the better choice for Juliette. Gah, it's making me more effing nervous for this ending. Shit's gonna hit the fan and I'm gonna go off the deep end. But I hope it's in a good way. :)

I disagree because I don't feel Adam is necessarily deserving of her because he showed her basic human kindness and treated like a person because she is a person and not a prize. I feel it is about who understands her better and is more compatible, some one who encourages her to grow not hold her back. In FM it is seen that Adam does not really understand her as a person and who they are as people just don't vibe.

The more I think about it, I feel there's is a big perception vs. reality thing with Adam. Juliette isn't the most reliable narrator and especially in the first book she's emotionally and mentally compromised and Adam coming off as this certain way and their "love" as a certain way may have more to do with her experiences and all of her troubles than the reality of the situation and that may be the reason he and his and his attitude toward her seems so wildly different in FM than SM. Her perception of things is different or even slightly distorted than what actually is. Just the same, I'm looking forward to how it all ends:D

Okay - this is a big issue for me, and maybe not for you all, BUT... so what about the touching thing? Warner CAN, and Adam potentially can BUT he needs to concentrate, etc. And now that he's freaked out... and doubting... idk. They all have baggage (to say the least). I wonder how it'll all work out.

I have no idea where I sit with this. Book #1 I was all Adam, Book #2, I gravitated towards Warner (something about the bad boy in him). After Fracture Me, I'm annoyed with Adam. So I just don't know.

I totally agree. And their abilities to touch her have nothing to do with how I feel. But usually in a love-triangle I have a preference but am not necessarily 100% convinced that they belong together. The most similar case would be TID. I did 100% percent love Jem and 0% percent love Will, but that did not have anything to do with Tess. When it came to who actually belonged with her it was more split.

But SM is the first time ever when I 100% believe that Warner belongs with Juliette. It has to do with who they are, and who they are together. My ability to understand another perspective in this case is 0%. So, if Juliette ends up with Adam, I am gonna be 100% mad at Mafi. I dont want to be, but I will feel betrayed and as if she was misleading us all along.

I am loving the fact that this trilogy can stir-up so many different emotions and different points of view from all of us. I love that Mafi has written a story and characters that evoke so much passion! In FM, like I said before, I loved that we got to see Adam's fears and doubts. All his vulnerabilities. Because that just makes him more real and honest. They are all young and scared and dealing with so much messed up shit. And letting us see that part of them brings depth to the story and thee characters. At this point I just want them all to find peace and happiness. Yeah Warner isn't for the most part a good guy. But with the F'd up crazy-ass lunatic of a father he's had bullying him all of his life, it's a miracle he's still as sane. And for Adam, it's somewhat a version of the same nightmare plus worrying over the well being of James. Anther poor victim in the making. And of course Juliette. My goodness poor woman has been through the grinder. I feel so badly for all of then! Kenji's too! I pray that they all get some form of HEA. And at this point I don't think I'd mind who ends up with who LOL! I just need them to be okay. Oh yeah, and for that sleezebucket of their dad to get real nice and dead!

message 32770: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Well said Belkis. Let Adam have his HEA. And please let Warner kill his dad. I'll be happy with that. This series is so emotional and screwed up but I love it. I truly hope and pray everything works out.

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Honestly, I would be okay if Juliette chose neither. It would be better than her choosing Warner and breaking Adam anymore than he is. So if she wants to be on her own and figure her own shit out before she ended up with anyone, then I'll support her.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Ok to comment regarding shatter me series, idk who I want Juilette to end up with. Both Adam and Warner have their good points and their bad points, and I am just not sure who'd I would rather she be with. Ugh it's so hard to decide, which is why I hope in the next book, is it the last one?, that we get some more insight I have not read the novella though.

Now I just finished reading the entire series Significance (Significance, #1) by Shelly Crane and it could have ended better. I liked where it was going, it was sort of confusing whatever I could deal, but meh. It felt rushed, and not as plotted as the previous books. Things were quite obvious. I just wished it was better lol.

Agreed with everything you said. Even in my review, I talk about the fact that we see Adam from Adam's POV, not Juliette, so it makes him much more real. You don't truly know a character unless you can get into their head. You can't see them completely through another's POV. I felt the same with Warner's story. Mafi has done an incredible job of making you like all of her characters, not an easy feat at all!
