Elizabeth Yu-Gesualdi | 2 comments Hi all! Sorry I haven't joined in on the discussions for awhile, but I've been ridiculously busy writing and reading! Just finished reading The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden as well as The Redemption of Callie & Kayden (based on recommendations from you all). I enjoyed both books very much, but to be honest (this is just my personal opinion), I'm just not into novels that focus so much on cutting, goth, rape, etc. My thoughts are that the majority of YA & NA readers have not experienced these things (thank God!)and even though they may enjoy reading about it, there is only so much one can relate to if you haven't actually experienced it. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the stories and think that Ms. Sorenson is a fine writer, but the books just weren't my cup of tea. That doesn't mean that they are bad and that they shouldn't be read. On the contrary, if you enjoy these types of novels, then I believe you will truly enjoy these. Okay, I'm running on. Sorry.
