Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments I finished Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee this morning and LOVED it! So excited for the sequel. That excerpt had me begging for more World After. Such a torturous wait. Sigh.

Now I'm reading Angelfire (Angelfire, #1) by Courtney Allison Moulton and I gotta say, this is as gripping and intriguing as Angelfall. I'm loving it!!!! Plus Will reminds me of my beloved Will Herondale. Love love love the angel theme and mystery and romance and action.

CoB wasn't that bad. They had to change suff because it was such a thick book and so the audience (who hadn't read the book) would be interested in it too. And it was only the first couple of the PJ books that I didn't like, the rest of them I really enjoyed.

message 30307: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Man, we're still disagreeing about CoB. I find that funny. Sad, but funny. I'm usually on the agreeing end, but I suppose it depends who I'm talking to. I've been talking about this for days, both agreeing and disagreeing with me. The more a few of my friends keep bringing up reasons why we dislike it so much the more depressed I get. I'll sit this convo out.

I do have to say, I enjoyed the Twilight movies but didn't like the books. So it just shows how different each series/movies are. I love the PJ movies so I'm not daring to read the books now, even though I bought them. Lol

I know. I have no control when it comes to her books either. I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor from that awful ending in Opal. I HAVE to find out what happens and have some closure. Even if that means I have to endure another terrible cliff-hanger inducing wait! Ugh!!!!

Oh Bridget I would strongly advise you to wait for the last book but it's so awesomesauce until the cliffie, waiting is the last advise I want to give Lux fans. It is absolute emotional roller coaster goodness. I have no idea how am i going to survive till next summer.

Ekaterine (thegoddess) | 478 comments I finished Origin (Lux, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout . First of all let me tell you I loved Daemon's POV. Being in his head was the best thing ever. Actually this book was amazing, brilliant as expected. Action so thick I almost stopped making toilet breaks. Daemon was more open with his feelings and so cheesy he turned me into an emotional mess that swooned every few minutes. And their hot moments? OH MY GAWD!!! Puts Alex and Aiden into shame. The cliffie is bad...insanely bad...as horrific as the last one... So, Lux fans go read and break your hearts, he is worth it! We have to wait 6 to 9 freaking month. I want to punch people!!!

Me too! That woman is mother of all cliffhangers and she goes all the way out. I blame all of my heart problems on her. But I kind of understood why she finished it on that moment. If she would write more she kind of would been forced to write two books in one. and if she would stop before it wouldn't be complete. It really pains me to say this but it was perfect moment to end it.

You'll probably be like the rest of us and end up completely torn. Warner has all the markings of the ultimate sexy bad boy like I usually prefer, but I actually want her to end up with Adam...to quote the great Phoebe Buffay, "he's her lobster!" LOL

Been crazy busy this week getting ready for school to start and bracing myself for our 4-birthday month, but thanks to no sleep I've gotten a lot of reading time in. =)

Origin (Lux, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout was awesome, and of course things are left hanging out there just enough to torture us until Opposition releases ages from now!!

Beautiful Broken Rules (Broken Series, #1) by Kimberly Lauren ...absolutely a top for 2013 for me, maybe even in my top 5 ever. LOVED this book and wish I could curl up and read it again...and again...

Now reading Come Alive (Experiment in Terror, #7) by Karina Halle for a break from contemps and to finally be caught up on the series, then I'm grabbing Price of a Kiss by Linda Kage , and Angelfire (Angelfire, #1) by Courtney Allison Moulton for Annie!!

I agree, it needed to end there. I don't think it was as bad as Opal in the punch to the gut, but more of a "OH holy green-eyed alien babies..." moment and then BAM the end. LOL Makes me so nervous about what's coming up in Opposition, she is going to make it a very painful leg of the journey, I have no doubt.
