It seems more divided for this one than usual. And the weird thing is that when I first encountered it in the other group, they seemed completely unaware that there were those who didnt like Shay. They were shocked when I asked them about it and actually didnt believe me at first. :P

I agree the chemistry is 100% better and believable Shay was just wrong in my opinion

With most love-triangles there are those that like one or the other, some ppl who like neither, some ppl who like both, and some who like both but still prefer one or the other. But with Nightshade, it seems the fans are split into two distinct groups with no variations. So, if I were to read the series, I have a 50/50 chance that the guy I pick is gonna die! That is a huge deterrent. I am considering just reading the first, but just maybe. If I like Shay I would finish it, and if I like Ren I wouldnt. I avoid sad endings like the plague!

Lol well for me it's pretty much the first time I loved the other guy!!! CALLA and REN have a magnetic pull to one another and there chemistry is so freaking amazing I really haven't read anything like that! Normally I'm all for the main guy but Ren drew something out for me! He's not annoying or whiny or wingy he just is and gives up the world for Calla ... He's not selfish!!! Unlike Shay!!!! Arrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!

It's funny I loved her in book 1 she started TI annoy me in book 2 cause she let Shay bulky her and I have yet to read Bloodrose and avoiding it like the plague cause I know what happens so I'll probably despise her lol oh we'll see what happens lol

Haha, that just makes me not wanna read it. If I end up liking him too the ending will make me too sad.
The only book where I like the secondary guy is . But thats not because I dont like the main guy. He is awesome too. But it is the book where I came the closest to picking the second guy. If she picked him I wouldnt be too upset.

Yes, Ren is the main guy. The super romantic and passionate brother. His brother, Kishan, is also very sweet, but more fun and less intense. They are both awesome. I havent read the 3rd book yet. Hopefully once I do it will help me choose between them.

ok On the plus side the book picked up for me and now I'm devouring I still don't like shay... .this is my first time reading this series and I will continue on cause now it's intriguing but OMG Shay I wanna smack everytime I see his flippin name... I don't know why (AC) has her going for Shay and not Ren, i'm on page 411 so unless I fall asleep I will be finishing this book tonight.

Yeah poor REN!!!! :( Bloodrose is the final book (which I still haven't read)...but Shay needs to be thrown up against a wall and stomped on lol I know that is harsh but he really irritates me to the point of wanting to inflict harm on him and I'm a very calm and passive person!!! And as for why Cremer wants her to be with Shay...who knows why she is choosing that option ....arrrgggghhhhh!!!!

Is it permanently sad, such as a character death, or temporarily sad, like something that can be fixed in the next book, like ? Cuz if it's permanently sad I won't read it.
