Oh awesome Laura! I'll definitely add Branded to my TBR as I love a good dystopian. And I think I'll follow suit and hold off on A Castle Of Sand if there's still 2 more books.

Laura you should really read the Warriors of Ankh. They were my first Samantha Young read and I loved them. I liked the Fire Spirits series too. Haven't read the last one yet.

Oh, hell...just finished Every Rose by Lynetta Halat and my heart is absolutely crushed. Serious sobbing through that one, and ugh why??!!! I need a stiff drink. *whimpers*

I have to do a speed-read of Fractured Souls (Shattered Promises, #2) by Jessica Sorensen for blog review since it kept getting pushed forward, and I think I might grab up a really smutty read tonight to numb my mind a bit, so I'm starting Breach (Breach, #1) by K.I. Lynn !

Laura, that ending...damn. It killed me. And there was just no logic behind any of it. Really struggling with how to write a review, because I LOVED it otherwise.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) read Zom-B City (Zom-B, #3) by Darren Shan while I was on a work road trip - just got home last night actually. it was the only book I got the chance to read, now im thinking of reading either Shadowfell (Shadowfell, #1) by Juliet Marillier or White Tiger (Dark Heavens, #1) by Kylie Chan

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 257 comments Finished The Hero of Ages (Mistborn, #3) by Brandon Sanderson really early Saturday morning and it was an excellent end to the first trilogy. I cried, but the end result was very surprising, but satisfying, too.

Finished The Alloy of Law (Mistborn, #4) by Brandon Sanderson and it was pretty entertaining. It was interesting to see what became of the characters from the original trilogy as parts of history and religion. And the new characters were pretty good, too. Especially Wayne. I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

Starting The Rithmatist (Rithmatist #1) by Brandon Sanderson

Loved it! Derek and Sophia were amazing as usual and I swear, they just can't catch a break. But poor Ben though, I didn't even like him but I was not expecting anything like that. Lucas got what he deserved though.

Still on my Brandon Sanderson kick, so I'm reading The Rithmatist (Rithmatist #1) by Brandon Sanderson now and loving it. Who would have thought a book about drawing circles and lines with chalk would be so interesting?

I read both series close together, and I agree that there are a lot of similarities. But the The Captive series is a dystopian, and that underlying element throughout makes it have a different feel as the series goes on. I love both series, but Braith and Aria have one of those destined, fated love stories that makes it a lot more intense and sexy IMO. And I have to say, the last book Salvation (The Captive, #4) by Erica Stevens was one of my all-time favorite finales ever, it was awesome and well worth the wait!
