Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay so family completely derailed my reading plans :( but after finishing and LOVING/HATING The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden, #2) by Julie Kagawa I needed something completely different and mellow to calm me down so I'm listening to one of my old loves The Lion's Lady by Julie Garwood so actually a reread :) love Julie Garwood's historical romances and this one's my favorite of all. Then will be reading Recovery (Mending Hearts, #1.5) by L.B. Simmons and Entangled by Annie Brewer so happy weekend to me! Plan on ignoring family!

Savannah (skyswriting) | 10 comments Rebecca, would you say the next books are much better than the first? I am anxious to get started on the rest of the series hehe

Belkis, it is so worth it! I loved the whole animal/nature aspect of it, along with the elemental powers, the dream sequences, I could go on! It's a beautiful series so far from what I read!

Looks like I need to add

The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan
My TBR pile is so large right now, I think it would seriously cause one hell of a earthquake if it were to topple -_- If only there were more hours in the day to get everything done and read more haha.

Yes, I would. Since the first book took place almost entirely in the dreaming. A lot more happens in books 2 and 3.

How much more was it when you bought it Donna? You know Amazon is really great about refunding for purchases. If you call them they will work it out with you. They've done it for me many times. Also just fyi, you can return it and they will refund it and then just repurchase again for lower price :) never feel stuck with any of your Amazon purchases, their customer services is fantastic!

Lol Belkis, I've read almost all of the Julie Garwood books. I used to be so into historical romances in my younger days. Now that I'm older I read YA! I had bought them all in paperback and they're stored at my parents in my old room! Now it's all about the E-Books.

I may have to check these out as well and I agree, my to-read pile just keeps growing especially since I joined this group- all of you read really good stuff...lol and then I started playing the scavenger hunt game and it was all down hill from there. That's so true Tiana. I did the same. Read just about any historical romance I could find when I was younger too. Now I read loads of YA and PNR :) but I do try mix it up as much as possible and this group is great at keeping us up to date on so many diverse and wonderful reads.

I agree that it was expensive. I bought it at Walmart although I know it wasn't 19.00 ( because I am way too cheap for that..ha!) I didn't know anything about it when I bought it and was disappointed when I saw its rating, but after I started reading the reviews I realized no one had anything really bad to say about it. Was it my favorite ever? no... was it on my top ten? probably not, but it was very intriguing and a very different concept than what I have read previously which is why I recommended giving it a chance- it is kind of violent and dark, but has a mysterious quality to it which is why I thought it was good ( of course historical Paris and a few mysterious good looking guys, including one that is a gargoyle, helped..lol) but waiting on a sale to get is always a good idea :)
