What Are You Reading? Part 1

I agree!! I still don't see the point in writing something all over again, when you can write plenty of new stories, that people will love!!
She's even changed the cover for all her books, and the covers were beautiful before!!

I hate when authors change covers. It confuses me when I am browsing on amazon and it tells me I own a book I don't recognize because the cover has been changed.

Oh that's the deal with the covers? she changed the story from YA to NA.. Damn I have the YA version I think...

The NA version is free!! http://www.amazon.com/Ember-X-Death-C...

0,99 cents :P oh well Ill get it another time.. I have too much to read anyways...

Yeah, I bought the YA right before she announced there would be an NA version. Truth be told I really liked the YA version. It didn't need to be changed. I had the same issue with Fallen Star series. I loved the YA version but tried to read Shattered Promises and couldn't do it

Love me some Travis! Gonna read Walking Disaster, too? It was good, especially to see things from his POV.

What?? It's free for me...Oh, damn, there's no more kindle version for the YA one...is it just me?? Does anyone know what's happened to it??

I signed up to do blog reviews for both of her new NA versions without having read either YA series first. I'm SO glad I hadn't, because they definitely weren't good enough that I would have been thinking "oh this is amazing, if only it were sexier!". LOL I really liked SP, and so far Ember is good, but they're not outstanding.

Yeah, I won't be reading the YA version after this so it doesn't matter for me, but the whole thing seems silly!

Yeah, I got to a part in the NA version where it was obvious to me she was going to push the triangle between them and it irked me a bit. In the YA version her relationship with Laylen is friendship first. In a way I didn't want my original Laylen sullied :) But since I didn't finish I don't know how it ended up.
Ember I enjoyed more than I thought I would. It definitely need to be steamier. The story was entertaining enough. But to each their own, right?!

It's not a problem though, u can go back without it being ruined!

Okay, I checked on all the dates for these to write them down, looks like Wethering the Storm is pushed back to Aug. 20 so that's a bit of a break! Thank God, I'll be dropping others for that one, too!! =)

Wow, I really hate to say this but
is just painful so far. SO completely far-fetched, disorganized, insta-love, and random shit going on that I can't even keep up with. Ugh, I love Jessica but this is going to be a rough one.

I own both the original and this one...maybe I will start with the original.

Argh! That's too bad. Well, at least it's one that I don't have to feel rushed to get to I guess. Haven't been able to get much reading done this last few days. Doesn't look like I'll be getting to much tonight either. With my kiddo graduating HS it's been a whirlwind the last few weeks. Hope I can get to some of the awesome new release this month.

Yup Laura, that's what happened to me at the beginnig when I started the series. I just went directly to Amazon and bought A Hunger Like No Other to start because they have it listed as book 1. It wasn't until I finished it that I caught it and bought the anthology and read The Warlord Wants Forever. After that, I just go straight to Kresley Cole's website for everything. But it didn't make any difference at all to the story. LOVE LOVE it :)

Travis Maddox...sigh.... Love him"
Hell YEAH! Love Travis <3

Yes, I really like this series too. Same as you I thought the premise for the story to be interesting with the whole spin on the Cinderella story. But I ended up loving Cinder so much and Scarlet was awesome . Hope you enjoy it just as much as I did :)

Damn! I've been about to die waiting on more Jake Weathers!! I don't know if I can wait til aug!!

Oh I'm jealous. Mine hasn't arrived yet:("
oh my god it's scorching HOT! I have audio book and Jill is doing amazing job with voices, loving it! Hope yours gets there soon! :)

Yeah, I think the origional would be better, I think she only added parts for the NA version, not wrote it all again.
She really needs to write something new.

I can imagine audio is really hot. I get red-cheeked just reading some of the scenes in the previous books. Don't know if I could handle hearing them out loud!!

Did you Sylvia? I'm not sure if I do or not. Maybe if I would have read it first.

I am hopeful. I assume that a lot of the first book is set-up and world building. It seems very similar to the Breed series by Lora Leigh. I really liked that series and was looking for a new one that had that same idea. You know super-powered human-esque hunks who want to mate for life with some average Jane, and the tension of trying to deny their carnal desires, aka smut, delicious delicious smut. Open to suggestions btw.

Unfortunately it's not listed seperately, which is annoying. I had to add a small note in my review that I had both editions (I usually add them to my "kindle" shelf, but I couldn't do that with both of these) But, yeah, tell me how it is!!
