They just want to be sure that you are reading the appropriate stories for your age and they want nothing but the best for you. I know it never bothered my parents what I read, but every parent is different. There are so many books to choose from so you really won't miss out on those few "adult books" that we are all reading. At least you are able to read NA books, that's a start :)

I think there are some NA books that have more "stuff" than some adult books I've read

I read Love Me (Unfortunately I read the second one first :( ) And I didn't see a problem with it!! It's Adult, and I thought it was nice. But I guess being able to read NA books is a good thing, although I had to do a bit of lying truth twisting about the age recommended so I could read just that. Ugh, it's a topic I never want to get into, lol. Makes me frustrated, anyway, i'm finding a good argument to get me to read it. It's a working progress, lol. Actually, I had to do a project on 'something I wanted to argue about' And I chose "not being able to read/watch what I want" (And didn't show mum the assignment,) So, yeah, it's something I think strongly about. Ugn, look what's happened, I've written too much, lol!

Oh Erin I read a while back when it first came out, got it for free and really liked it a lot. Have continued with the series. Read book 2 and enjoyed just as much as the first one. Still need to read book 3. But nice series. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
