Finished The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins and i loved it read it in one day now i can finally read Across the Universe by Beth Revis ...

message 235: by Jody (new)

Jody I loved all of the Mortal Instruments books sooo much that I just had to listen to The City of Bones audio book, which is like a little ipod. Reading all 4 books wasnt enough for me, because Im obviously totally obsessed. I took it too bed every night and listened to it...Ive just finished it and loved it.
The narrator's voice was so soothing though it was hard to stay awake.
I think I may have an addiction! But its a good one to have ;-)

LOL no you are not obsessed and I wouldn't mind listening to it either but I know how you feel you invest so much of yourself in this magical stories and it is so hard to let them go...

Good to know I wasn't the only person on the planet that wasn't that impressed with HG. :) I tried to read Catching Fire but it just didn't interest me.

That was the first audio book Ive listened too, and I kept falling asleep, so it took my 3 weeks to finish it. I have Breaking Dawn also from the library, thought it would be good to brush up before the movie comes out. I got a feeling that one is going to take me a long time LOL!! I may be done by xmas.
It is very hard to let go of the books and all the characters that you come to love so much.

message 240: by Sylvia (new)

That's a brilliant idea hiring out audio books to brush up on what happened before reading the next book in the series since it takes them forever to come out...

Too true about letting go of the characters we love so much...my younger brother can't stop re-reading the Harry Potter series he can't believe that's over...

I cant believe Harry Potter is over too. I cant even think about it, I get upset. Maybe there will be another movie, where Cedric Digory magically comes back to life. I doubt it LOL
I did read if she was to write another book it would be a long long time off and would be about Harry and Rons children in a whole new adventure. I love Harry Potter!!

That would be an amazing read...I love Harry Potter too!!! At least we have all these other amazing book series' to fall back on too!

So I went ahead and picked up Eragon (Inheritance, #1) by Christopher Paolini , The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #2) by L.J. Smith , and Valiant (Modern Tale of Faerie Series #2) by Holly Black instead. I'm gonna start with The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #2) by L.J. Smith .

Can't wait for Iron Knight!! And I think it's good coz they publish the books every six months. I wish every book in a series is published that fast.
