I was interestedin this book - until I found out there is a huge cliffhanger. No Book 2 until October. That's so far away the author could freaking die by then and we'd never know what happened. Will. Not. Touch.

Mmm, I wouldn't say huge. I was bracing myself for an awful cliffhanger, and it's definitely not a happy moment for a break between the first and second books, but it gives you hope. So while it's sad and I'm dying for more, it's not like some of these others where it's completely crushing and I'm left in tears! =)

FYI to all of the Sempre by J.M. Darhower fans (I know it's popped back up on the thread here recently, too!), big news!! The sequel is officially OFF FOR EDITS!!! I've been awaiting news on this one for what seems like ages, so I was very excited to hear it's actually getting close!! No word on a release date still, but at least it's progress. =)

I've got 100 pages left, and I know it's all downhill from here. It's just such a depressing book in a lot of ways (though I know it's trying to show a light-hearted side to it, too), and I just can't deal with being overwhelmed by that many sad emotions at the moment. We've got 2 family members battling cancer right now and I've had a few scares over the years, too, so it's really sucking me into that fear more than I'd like. I WILL finish it though!! =) Love you too babe! Mwah!

So, while I've been slumping it out in front of the keyboard I've been reading Marking Time by April White . I haven't decided how I feel about this book yet. I don't hate it, but...I don't know. Maybe I'm in a reading slump too.....

I hear ya, I've had a lot of those come up. Just no spark between the characters, so the smexy doesn't really have any heat to it. Hate those stories, but if I have to I'll just skim! =)
