♥ Rebecca ♥ | 1653 comments Still reading Reached (Matched, #3) by Ally Condie (its really long), and really enjoying it. A lot is happening compared to even book 1, let alone book 2. But not so heavy on the romance, which was my fave part, so still a bit sad. But still 40% left to go, so we shall see.

message 19831: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Rebecca, I still need to read that. I've read mixed reviews. I bought it the day it came out but just haven't opened it yet. I liked the romance too and that's a bummer that there's not much of it. But as long as she ends up with Ky, I guess I'll be happy.

Ok - so here's a question for you seasoned readers... how do you NOT spend $100/month on books? I've seen what everyone's reading and I know some get ARCs and whatnot, but I am envious!!

I've been wanting to read this one!

message 19835: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Crystal, I probably spend that much in a month....well sometimes. Maybe every couple months. I get a bunch of paperbacks/hardcovers but mostly get ebooks cause its cheaper. I have to cut back though, sadly. I do get a lot of ARCs each month because I do blog tours. Thank God those are free.

I probably spend between 50-100 a month. I try not to spend more than $5 on an ebook, but of course there are exceptions to the rule :) I get some of the more expensive ones from the library

message 19841: by Crystal (new)

Crystal (crystalf1423) | 26 comments Thanks for the feedback :) Glad to know I'm not missing out on some elite free ebook club. I live in a small town, so unfortunately our library doesn't have a lot, but they've had some of my TBR so that does help!! I like the rule of not spending more than $5 on an ebook; I think I'll use that :D

Well girl, they're elves not fairies! LOL I can't say it's a story of the elfin that is treading completely unchartered territory (though I honestly haven't read that many elf series yet, so others may have more to say on that), but it does have some unique elements that I loved and the chemistry between the characters was great. Some may not buy into the insta-bond factor, but for those that love the alpha-male possessive mate storyline, it'll be a hit!

I buy a ton of $3 or less ebooks! I actually rarely spend more than $5 on books lately, unless it's one of the big ones coming out like JLA's (if I don't get an ARC) or a big publisher. I don't know if it's that I gravitate to those more, or just that I've bought so many of the more expensive ones in the past that I still need to catch up on. Amazon is great for suggestions when you purchase an ebook, and you can just flip through and find ones with good ratings that are under $5. But get your name on the ARC list for some of these smaller publishers, too!

Please, like I'd judge anyone for being a book addict?! LOL I'm the same, if a series looks good and the books are cheap, I go ahead and grab them up. And I buy some that I don't even know I'll want just to have them for $.99 some times! =D

Wow, wow, wow!! So I picked up One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy last night to read for some quick smut, but this book was SO much more than what I was expecting! Heartbreaking, sexy, disturbing, suspenseful, and all in under 200 pages...I can't believe how good this was to be condensed into such a short book! The name and cover scream smutty read, but this is a must-read for NA/contemp romance fans!

Both awesome books you're reading :) as for spending so much money per month on books well like the rest of the gals I don't venture over $5 for an ebook and that is pushing it lol if it's over that much I buy the paperback which normally is only $5 more than the ebook or the same sometimes lol
