Definitely read a few reviews before you pick up Taking Chances if you haven't already, it's not for everyone. It got 1 star from me.

It is a little pricey; catch it on a sale, it's likely to happen to get the sales ticking up at some point.

To spend the weekend with my Husband and not glued to my iPad reading. I've been reading non stop lately so thought I would take a small break. Definitely back to it tomorrow, may start tonight especially after reading some reviews for Hopeless.

Awww...that's so sweet of you! Did he love it?

Adding it to my tbr as we speak! Can't turn away good smexy!lol

Haha yes he kept expecting me to grab my iPad and start reading, really tempting but it was a good weekend.

That's awesome. Well I'm going to bed in a few, so hope the rest of your night is good. It's midnight here.

I felt the exact same way!!! I loved every character and it was such a really well put together storyline! I love when I finish a book and still feel wrapped up in it even though I've came to the end. Those goose bump kinda books. Yeah, love those.

Ha! I did the same thing Erin! I was like, Noooooooo please don't do this to me(as if I were in the damn book)lol Had me on edge swear it did!

Belkis wrote: "Yup and so many 5 star reviews??? I mean the writing was still solid and I liked what she did with Soren as well as reintroducing Marran (hope I got his name right) and I appreciated the additional character insights into Perry but everything else was frustrating and found the book to drag in portions. And don't even want to get into Roar, Liv, Cinder crap. As well as the fact that we only got to have Aria & Perry together for like 5 minutes! Hopefully book 3 will get back on track and be closer to the awesomeness that was book 1. "

Yeah, you're probably right on that regard.

Yes! And by the end, you'll find that Mayor Prentiss is the most complex, interesting, and scary villain maybe ever.

Yeah, she really knows how to yank on the heartstrings. You should read Tangled Tides by her as well - less intense but pretty awesome.
I'm glad someone finally addressed the topic of suicide in after a horrific family tragedy (though I'm glad sshe didn't do it, because where would the series go then?). But it seems like in most books, everyone in the character's life dies, they are completely alone, and they resign themselves to living in misery forever. But if a boook wants to be realistic, sometimes they have to address thaqt this becomes an option, especially to young people. I would never want it to actually happen in a stoory, but it's out there, it's real, and sometimes should be talked about.
