Do I have a sick and twisted mind that I figured out the bombshell almost as soon as I met all the important players in the book...not necessarily MC's by the way.:)? About 60% I realized how logical I was. But, DAMN, it made for an awesome read. It made me remember to be thankful that my life is never as bad as the characters in the books I read!

I thought it was fantasic. Liam and Jojo AND Noah were awesome. The STUPID MISTAKE happens right in the beginning and the BIG MISUNDERSTANDING only lasts for a few pages - isn't that refreshing? - because these two have finally learned to COMMUNICATE. I would read it again.

message 19160: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Scott I agree! It was fantastic. The character dynamic really won me over. And Liam and Noah really made the book for me. All of the characters played their parts well. I only couldn't stand Nick the most but pretty much everyone else was great, I'd read it again too.

Joseph-Daniel Peter Paul Abondius (bookaholic203) I am presently reading 2 books An Amish Gift by Cynthia Keller andThe Sinner's Grand Tour:A Journey Through the historical underbelly of Europe by Tony Perrottet

Now reading Gates of Paradise (Blue Bloods, #7) by Melissa de la Cruz

message 19166: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Well I finished Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2) by Veronica Rossi last night and it was a bit of a disappointment to me in comparison with Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi . Book 2 somehow missed the mark for me. It was lacking the intensity of book 1 and it pretty much had me frustrated through most of it. The first 5% and the last 5% of the book were the most captivating for me everything else in between was less than for me. Hopefully the last book, whenever it comes out in 2014 will return me to my original love affair with this story. I can hope. Now thinking of starting Raphael (Vampires in America, #1) by D.B. Reynolds because after my disappointing read I need some smut and I it's also part of our couples cover challenge and my PNR group challenge as well. Hoping its good as I need hot, fun, light read right now. Afterwards then I might start Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1) by K.A. Tucker or There is No Light in Darkness (Darkness, #1) by Claire Contreras because these are too emotionally charged for me to read right this minute.

Yup and so many 5 star reviews??? I mean the writing was still solid and I liked what she did with Soren as well as reintroducing Marran (hope I got his name right) and I appreciated the additional character insights into Perry but everything else was frustrating and found the book to drag in portions. And don't even want to get into Roar, Liv, Cinder crap. As well as the fact that we only got to have Aria & Perry together for like 5 minutes! Hopefully book 3 will get back on track and be closer to the awesomeness that was book 1.

Holy hell, I just finished In Flight (Up In The Air, #1) by R.K. Lilley and I'm a hot mess right now!!! *whimpers* I thought I was diving into a little easy smut, but good lord this was INTENSE!! Mix Fifty Shades and Bared to You through a blender and toss them into the mile high club, and that's about where you end up here. SO very thankful my group waited for the sequel to be out before we started, because there's a heart-wrenching cliffie that will have me reading Mile High (Up In The Air, #2) by R.K. Lilley into the wee hours of the night!! Sorry Independence, you'll have to wait yet again...
