Now see, I thought I was the only one that didn't go gaga over this series!! I liked the Infernal Devices slightly better, TMI was lacking in the romance department big time for me. I know that's just how her writing is, though; more about the story with a subtle romance vs. the steaminess we get in some of the others. I am going to give it another go, though, because the movie looks good.

If you're looking for something like YA fantasy books only geared for adults, you'd go for either urban fantasy (things like City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare and Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor ) or if you want racier reads like some of the contemp romances tend to be, paranormal romance (like The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter and Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost ). The lists Sylv posted have a lot of great ones, and I highly recommend Gena Showalter, Jeanienne Frost, Larissa Ione, and Kresley Cole for the PNRs. I fell in love with the PNR genre, they are intense but so addicting!!

Same for me Laura with this series. Read the first one. Wasn't impressed. Shelved the rest of the books even though I own the whole series. Too many great books waiting to be read to spend time on a series that I didn't quite care for. Not for me I guess.
