Oh I see. My friend's kid is like that. she now goes to an alternative high school with smaller classes. It doesn't bother me. You should be ok for exams. You just need to think about the exam and block them out. It will be quite anyway. Good luck on your exams. I miss those days.

Wow Erin, you are amazing!! 300 books, you're my hero. I'm currently on number 187 for the year. I'm gonna try and make it to 190 to finish off the year, but all these holiday get togethers are getting in the way of my reading!

I cant wait to get to that book! I feel like I'll have to hurdle a mountain of other books to just to get to it!

message 17814: by Scott-robert (new)

Scott-robert Shenkman | 202 comments No, no, seriously, put everything aside and put this book first. I stopped the book I was into 1/3 through (don't worry, we're back together again) because I was so curious about this one. I read it in 5 hours today - non stop - I let my kids starve and ignored my wife because this one is just that good. So my wife fed the kids and now she has the book. I haven't seen her since dinner.:)

message 17815: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) I just started The War of the Flowers by Tad Williams. I'm still in the middle of several other books, but I'm like that; I get so excited to find out the plot, the reason I read in the first place, and I can't contain myself. Plus, at being the very early morning of 12/30/12 (2:21 am), I have given up on focusing upon my yearly goal that would require 4 or five more books tbr by Jan 1st.

The editing issues weren't that bad; some of the favorite reads we've all loved had similar issues (some from my absolute favorite authors), and I caught them but loved the books anyway. I do think I've seen it so often now that I just look past it, because I know not everyone had all of that crap drilled into them like I did when I grew up. Wish you gals loved this one as much as I did, the story itself is beautiful. It's not perfect, but beautiful nonetheless.

Oh wow, how could we narrow it down that much?! LOL Hmm...well, I'm going to cheat and do top 5 pairs. LOL I'd say the Dark Duet were my favorite overall Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #2) by C.J. Roberts , the Mad World books were my favorite guilty pleasure Fall From Grace (Mad World, #1) by Christine Zolendz Saving Grace (Mad World, #2) by Christine Zolendz , favorite tear-jerkers were Take This Regret by A.L. Jackson and The Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred , favorite PNR were Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione and Shadow's Claim (The Dacians Realm of Blood and Mist, #1) by Kresley Cole , and favorite YA were Deity (Covenant, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Inescapable (The Premonition, #1) by Amy A. Bartol ..and Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick . I know, you asked for 5 and I gave you 11, when I wanted to put about 25 on that list. LOL =D

Now how about you, my dear??

I loved Garrett and Jesse, my heart just broke for all 3 of them. The way she was so completely heartbroken until he was able to pull himself together and fix both of them is what reminded me so much of SGT; I had that same feeling of desperation for the one that always held her heart to come back and be the thing she'd always needed, ya know? Very different situations and SGT had a lot more time to draw out the emotions, but lordy it still turned my heart to mush!! =)

Started up a new series for a blog tour next month- The Look of Love (The Sullivans, #1) by Bella Andre was really good and I'm looking forward to more of the sexy Sullivans!! I couldn't resist reading No Take Backs A Taken Novella (Give & Take, #1.5) by Kelli Maine even though I know I now have a torturous wait for the next book, and Kelli Maine once again impressed me with some steamy hotness!!

Finished Blood Debt by Nancy Straight tonight and it was pretty good but really dragged and had me seeing red for way too many chapters. I'm now bound and determined to finish From This Moment On (The Sullivans, #2) by Bella Andre tomorrow so I can officially have 300 books read for 2012. Then I can kick back and take my time with Choices (Choices, #1) by Annie Brewer , The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #2) by Michelle Hodkin , and Finale (Hush, Hush, #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick to kick off the new year!! Woot!!

The PNR genre really blew me away this year, for sure. Just like Twilight opened my eyes to how great YA was in 2011, I definitely had a wake-up call with the PNR this year (okay, and the dark erotica...). There's just something about the freedom to be as mind-blowingly sexy as they want while having that captivating supernatural element to it that make it so damned addicting!! LOL

I know. God I love Garrett...he's like the voice of reasoning. I swear I wanted to beat the shit out of Collin and I can't stand her mom. This is so emotional!!! I really love it. Yeah I see grammar and spelling errors pop up a bit but I don't let that retract from the story. Write a whole book and edit a few times, it still won't be perfect! JS!
The only thing I wish is that we would have gotten Nick's pov...that's what I like about this one. Love Jesse and his stubborn sexy ass!! :)

The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski have heard really great things but it seems I'm not a huge contemporary romance type of girl as whenever they have been recommended I have not liked them as much as others. Something will have to wow me to keep me there. We shall see. Reading it for a blog tour.
