Belkis clarified it best, they have romance but it's not immediate or emotionally charged like, say Shatter Me. But they're both good and you do get that swoony love story by the time you're done with the book.

It did get a 4.05. It could just be me. Here is my review if you are curious what I didnt like about it. Some spoilers, but not the major ones like who the bad guy was or if anyone died.

I forgot it was coming out till I saw it when I was shopping yesterday so it was a nice surprise! I know most people think Lincoln is amazing but the character that makes me love these books is Phoenix :)

On the reverse side, I liked it. Though if you're looking for romance it's light on the swoony stuff. I liked how dark it was.

It was just REALLY slow-moving with lots of boring fact-telling, and the relationship didn't have much chemistry at all for me. Bummed!

Yup that's been the common complaint that its just meh nothing special and super slow :( and so my friend I will skip it and let it sit in my pile because with the mountain of books we have waiting on us to be read it'd be a damn shame to waste more of our time on this one. Thanks Erin.

Ok so started reading and it's interesting, unique, and lots of sort of action, but I'm just not feeling it so I set it aside for a bit and started and this GRABBED ME FROM PAGE 1! The writing is spectacular. I'm so IN LOVE that I can't make up my mind whether to laugh or cry YAY!!!

I had preordered it, that's how badly I wanted to read it but like the other thousand books I have waiting I hadn't found the time to get to it. But the time has arrived and it's pure joy. B&N released it early. I think Amazon might have done it too but only for the print versions.

Oh...I'm new to this GR thing and I feel so bad after I rant! In the end I feel like you have a duty to keep GR's "real" by telling the truth! I've not written reviews (not even put them on my list) because of this very thing. I'd rather people rant. Just my humble opinion ;)

Yeah, its pretty bad. The only good thing is the idea of the story. But the story is basically The Hunger Games. The writing and grammar are bad, the characters are awkward, the action is convoluted, the dialog is horribly contrived. And the names! Omg, dont even get me started on the names.
