It's VERY HEARTBREAKING....EMOTIONAL.....HEARTWRENCHING....but it's also the most UNFORGETTABLE....HEARTWARMING....SWOONWORTHY....AMAZING book I've had the best time reading! :)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Ok finished Eden (Providence, #3) by Jamie McGuire so good! What a thrill ride from beginning to end! Great trilogy and fantastic last book. Now caving in and reading Onyx (Lux, #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout cause I can't wait until I finish my group reads for the month I need to read it now LOL!

Katrina Welsh (katrinawelsh_) I'm nearly done with Hemlock (Hemlock, #1) by Kathleen Peacock

How is that book?? It sounds amazing and I've got it on hardback.

message 11357: by Katrina (new)

Katrina Welsh (katrinawelsh_) It was ok but parts could've been better. The thing is, I didn't know what the book was about when I got it. My sister told me Hemlock is a deadly poisonous plant but it you took small dosages of it, you'd be immune to Hemlock. I thought that's be used as a plot device in the story or something. But it was not meant to be. Lol sorry for going off in a tangent. Hemlock was good, not as good as I expected but still good.

message 11358: by Katrina (new)

Katrina Welsh (katrinawelsh_) NO. Wait. We're talking about different books...

I really liked Hemlock! It wasn't necessarily anything ground-breaking, but the characters were great and it was full of exciting action and suspense. Definitely worth a read, I think you'll really like it. =)

OMG, I know. I feel the same way. I really hope she updates the cover because that cover does no amount of justice to this book. I get it now too and understand what it represents, but most others wouldn't unless they read it. Or are hounded by people like Erin and I. LOL So sososososososososo glad I read it!

message 11369: by Annie (new)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Yeah it does sound like SGT, but I'd hate to say it the SGT cover is actually more eye catching than this one. It looks alot older, and of course it is a little. But I may give it a go at some point.

Katrina Welsh (katrinawelsh_) What's this Sweet Gum Tree you speak of? You guys seem really enthused about the book that I'm intrigued now. Can you guarantee that it'll be brilliant? If so, then I'll add it to my TBR pile. (But then, I'll probably get around to actually reading it in about two months. Lol)

Yeah, it just looks so old-fashioned, which is so neat once you GET it, but at first glance I was thinking "eh, looks kind of lame". No offense to her, of course, it's just what my reaction was. It certainly doesn't look like the epic soul-searing story that it is, and I feel bad thinking that. It is pretty, just doesn't look like an amazing romance book!
